How the hell do you figure that? Brady is 33, going on 34. He has maybe 3/4 good years left (and probably will never duplicate this year again). Mankins is gone after this year, and you have some age at o-line. The defense is still shaky, and really doesn't have star power. Your offensive weapons are not very good - Woodhead will go back to being nothing next year. Branch is on his last legs. The TE's will be exploited once teams spend the off-season getting the personnel to stop them, and Welker will be all thats left. Oh, and as soon as Brady retires, the hooded stooge is gone as well because he knows he is getting exposed as soon as he doesn't have Brady. This is probably the last chance the Pats have, and if the Jets beat them, it's over for the Pats unless they actually get 3/4 new superstars.
Why would it be different from last year if the Jets win and lose next week? A big game has ramifications. This just takes us to the same place where we were last year, and against an opponent who is going to want to beat us badly for week 15. The fact is that if the Jets win today and lose next week, this season will be a failure and this game will mean nothing. Hence, it cant be the 2nd biggest game in the Jets history.
