    According to Tony Wible, a Philadelphia-based analyst who covers media companies for Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, the Yanks are worth $2.85 billion.

    I also read that Girardi's considering putting two lefties in the bullpen, so he wouldn't be choosing between Cesar Cabral and Clay Rapada.

    Signed 1B/OF Steve Pearce to a minor league deal. He was recently cut by the Twinkies after signing a minor league deal with them in December.

    Granderson's elbow soreness led to a precautionary MRI which came back negative. His first game back he went 1 for 4.

    I see the Yankees may have to trade Garcia as he won't accept a demotion if he ends up being the odd man out. I figured he could be the long reliever..they really do have too much right now.

    Why would they demote him? He's been open to being in the bullpen if he's the odd man out throughout spring training (unless he changed his mind very recently)

    Thanks for the blunt answer. I don't read too much into that; Girardi's just addressing the possibility that if the "#6 starter" happens to be the 26th best player on the roster that he's not guaranteed a spot just because he happens to be the "#6 starter".
