Sucks, but this team actually has depth in the pen and rotation. Somehow, it won't even affect how we operate.

This seems to be ever worse than I thought.

"I think we need to stop with the Joba on the trampoline jokes. This stuff was serious, people. And if you’re squeamish, you may not want to even ready this:

Joba Chamberlain lost so much blood Thursday when he hurt his ankle while playing with his son that there initially was concern for his life, a Yankees’ source said … When Chamberlain was hurt, bone was sticking out of his ankle and he was bleeding profusely, a team source said. Paramedics were called and Chamberlain was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

This is just awful. And the compound nature of the injury means that he is at risk for infection and, by virtue of facing the possibility of multiple surgeries, the odds of complications increase."

CT Scan showed no microfractures. Barring any infection, no further surgeries will be needed.

Girardi thinks there's still a chance Joba pitches this season..... Highly doubt it.

That's huge. Although I doubt he'll pitch this year, it makes me more hopeful that he won't have to retire due to the injury

Looks like the Yankees are going to sign OF Jack Cust to a minor league deal (he was released by the 'Stros on Tuesday).

Looks like Swisher's healthy despite injuring both sides of his groin (separate incidents) in ST

What is he going to do when Pettitte is ready, especially if everybody is pitching ok? This might be that rare occasion where you actually can have too much good pitching.

I see Bartolo Colon pitched a nice 8 inning, 3 hit 1 run game today..maybe letting him go wasn't the best move.

He couldn't be trusted. I'm glad for him that he landed another job and had a good start to the year, but I doubt he lasts the entire season.

What the Yanks did with the rotation this offseason was some fine work by your boy Cashman.
