Wallace Wright needs to make this team over Marcus Henry. I voted for 6 but if Clowney is significantly injured than it will be 5 with Clowney to the IR and Ball and Henry to the PS.

Practice Squad Ainge; Smith on roster as QB; Clowney gets IR'd; Stuckey, Henry and Wright remain

I like Wright a lot, because he is tremendous on special teams. Henry could be great, but not this year. If he could make it to the PS, I'd stash him there. If Clowney's injury ends up being serious, then he'll get his shot, so it may be a blessing in disguise.

We have incredible depth here. Remember, we had Stonehands McDropins start 29 games for us the past 3 years.

Compare the receiver corps from last year and this year:

    2007

    Coles
    Cotchery
    McCareins
    Smith
    Wright

    2008

    Coles
    Cotchery
    Clowney
    Stuckey
    Smith
    Wright
    Henry

I'd like to see the Jets pick up a wr from some other team's cuts. I don't think any of these guys after Coles and Cotch scare anyone.

do we vote "keep 6 WR" then chose 4 to include coles and cotch or do we vote "keep 4" and vote 4 and are they still included...i think the wording of this question is a little messed up but i think you know what i mean

Then the Jet's have to sign Henry to the 53 man roster or he's a goner, Jet's have first right of refusal. So no team can get Henry, from the practice squad, as long as the Jet's put him on their roster. It's worth a shot put him on the practice squad, since he's eligible and Wright isn't.

I'm very surprised at the voting. I know it sounds callous, but I'm almost hoping for Clowney's injury to allow him to be PUPed, just so we can see how guys like Stuckey and Henry can compete against real defenses.

I don't think the bolded is true. PS players are complete free agents with no constraints.

My Bad......I meant to say the Team claiming the player....has to put them on their 53 man roster, not their PS.

Before a player gets put into the Practice Squad, they must first be cut by the team and go through the waiver wire process.

Absolutely no way will you see Henry, Clowney or Ainge survive the wire without another team picking them up.

I'm hoping that the CS can find some "mystery" injuries for these three guys. ;)

    Nope.

    We're taking 6 wide receivers
    Coles
    Cotchery
    Smith
    Stuckey
    Clowney
    Henry

If Clowney goes on the PUP or IR lists, Wallace Wright will be added to the active roster.

I'm going to have to go on hiatus for the next 3 days, as I will be moving in to my dorm room. I should be able to get Tight Ends up tomorrow morning, but that'll be it until Saturday.
