I know, I am sure somebody was complaining after the Raiders game last year. These are Jets fans we are talking about.
Actually, one the few things Eli received consistent praise for early in his career was his ability to run the 2 minute drill and handle pressure. There were fans calling for the Giants to run the hurry-up all the time (ala the Colts) due to this.
I don't really like the if game in this case.......that said: Btw you are right. If Braylon got set or Sanchez let him, whichever way you prefer looking at it, this game is different. So while Sanchez wasn't good, there were players on offense, that were on another plane of useless. The mistakes were not only horrendous but they all came at horrendous time.
It's New York and he's a QB. The honeymoon phase of his relationship with the media is over; they're going to start criticizing him frequently and even if he plays well they'll still find something negative to harp on (ie "Eli Manning doesn't show emotion! How can he ever be a good QB?! OMG!!2!).
I still think that was a terrible call. There was just so much damn movement all game I think the refs just got sick of it. I also think Braylon was a step late, because wasn't the play clock on like 1?
Watching the Jets pre-snap movement is life threatening for an epileptic. I actually do not know the time remaining as I was watching in a crowded bar with a rather dark projection screen. This crew of refs has an awful rep. I believe they call the most penalties of any crew by far. Thanks.
Yeah, everything I have read says they are the most flag happy. Someone's OC knew about and game planned for it. Someone else's didn't know of or at least do anything about it.
mark had us at 3-0? you mean our defense, and our running game had us at 3-0. sanchez just happened to be in the game, when you consider his pedestrian statistics. yeah i know he was a rookie and all, but other rookies have put up much better numbers than his. as far as the coaching staff ripping his confidence, that is their job considering he gave away the important "gimme win" versus buffalo with a 5 interception game doing what he does best at this point in his career....forcing balls, eyeing down one receiver, etc... its amazing how people forget the obvious reality, considering this is year two of the sanchez project, and his progression as a throwing qb are not better than they were a year ago. he even has better targets to throw to in comparison to his 3-0 start last season, so i must ask "Where is his progression?"
Thanks for the statistics. I initially put 2002, but since that was his rookie year, I changed to 2003 to make it comparable it being Sanchez's 2nd year. I actually had no idea that the sack totals dropped that much over the course of 1 season.
As long as Bruschi is willing to say that the Randy Moss does the same when he has a down game...like lets just say um...this sunday. Praise Revis
I guess you missed the first game?? It's typical bs like this that drives me nuts. He gets no credit when we win, all the Blame when we lose. Where his is procession? He Closed the season out well, played a great road playoff game in Cincy, also had us 1 half away from the super bowl. Oh wait never mind, he sucks this us entirely his fault and we should trade him for a 5th rounder.
so, did you guys hear about rex vs schotty after the game? i would make a thread about it (assuming there isnt one) but i cant 'cause im not a troll w/ 50+ posts (no offense)
It was also the media not digging deeper and the source that broke this rumor has little credibility. But you're banned, so you lose
