People are enamored with our 3rd string QB's because even if they are worthless pieces of dog shit that totally suck at football, they are much better then Mark Sanchez. If you've seen Tebow play, and you don't think he's better then Sanchez, stop watching football. If you are one of those incredibly ignorant assholes who never saw Mcelroy play throughout many years in college (as opposed to Sanchez's 1) where he won a national championship (as opposed to Sanchez blowing it) but still say that he could never start, stop watching football. What is especially ironic about Sanchez fanboys who declare that Mcelory is unfit to play (despite the fact that he has never gotten a chance) is that they always scream about Sanchez's two AFC championship losses as being signs of his greatness. "Don't look at the numbers", they say. "Numbers are meaningless", they say, "only wins matter". Okay, well Mcelroy won a national championship, and Tebow won two. Sanchez has never won a title in college or the pro's. The only reason I'm watching the Jet game Sunday is to pray that one of the Jet's OL lets a rusher come clean and break Sanchez in two.
I am a long time Tebow fan, so I want to share my thoughts about the current situation. (Don't ban me, I know this stuff belongs to Tebowmania section. But it's not my fault this thread is still in the main forum.) Scanchez is great dude. He is Tebow's long time friend. I believe he has much higher ceiling than most people think. Jets need to bring in top tier QB coach/OC to help him. Despite all the unfortunate mishaps recently, he holds his head high. With that been said, I wish Tebow could have out-played Sanchez and win the competition fair and square. It didn't happen. There is no intention for competition at all in the first place. Tebow is a square peg in a round hole. He is extremely good in certain offensive systems, but not in our current one. The coaching staff are abusing him. Who else would play their #2 QB in so many dangerous special team plays? I think he might break his ribs in a special team play. So back to your comment. If Sanchez suffers an injury in this game, I wish McElroy takes over the offense, because coaching staff have no clue how to use Tebow and they may get him injured again. I bet Tebow will be gone after this season. It will be over in no time. Very soon Tebow and his fans won't bother your perfect life any more. Cheers...
He "knew" he had a better QB? Sure about that? Or is he playing both sides of the fence because he "thinks" he does. His consistent backing of both QB's would indicate he isn't quite certain. Don't get me wrong, he seems to be making a smart choice. However, if he was sure Smith wasn't his QB, he would have said he is no longer the permanent starter by now. Not sure he is certain yet, and the first garbage game Kapoernick has, we may see otherwise.
I'm not surprised that the point went right over your head. The point didn't have much to do with the specific players that happen to be involved in this particular scenario, but more with the strange way people tend to fawn over the fucking 3rd string QB. Stay classy.
Anybody remember the game that Chad got hurt and Fiedler came in and immediately injures himself as well? Holy shit, what if... Or hopefully this is our Mo Lewis moment, where Sanchy gets the stuffin' beat out of him and in rides big Greg on his crimson Pony to salvage the season...
Honestly this is a pretty far post, I know your a Tebow backer but you wouldn't know it by this post. I agree with you 100% that Tebow does not fit in this system. I know people hate the guy for whatever reason, I don't. I'm not a fan but I feel bad for the guy. He gets abused by fans and media without even playing. That's ridiculous. I want him to succeed because if he did that would mean the team was.
Listen folks, no one knows what GMac can do in real game day action. The people such as myself and others who wish to see what type of abilities he MAY have in regular game are under no grand illusions that he is going to turn out to be the next Brady. As i have pointed out in other post, we know where Mark is at , at this point in his career. There is enough film on Tebow at this level to know what his limitations are in today's NFL when he is under center. The only question mark remaining is GMac and what he can bring to the table. Is it possible he will make Mark look like Brady with how bad he may, of course it is ! Yet, to just dismiss the the idea of giving him a chance to succeed or fail is ignorant and a disservice to both the fans, players and the organization in general.
Mcelroy?....Remember when Brett Ratliff was supposed to be our franchise QB? He was the best 3rd stringer in the league lol (sarcasm)
I can see it now, Sanchez get's injured with us down by 10 in the 4th quarter and in comes the great Gregory McElroy and he leads us to a great come back win and forever alters our history... Uhhh back to reality. He will probably get sacked and ripped in half like that kid in Not another teen movie.
Oh and it would be funny if McElroy (MACDADDY) got in there and tore it up sending the other two assclowns to the bench.
Well you know that people can report things out of proportion. As Tim could be ok. But then again, he has not played QB at all in 2012.
Really ? Based on his whopping 16 career starts without any substantive snaps in the offseason ? It's freaking hilarious to me that many of you all had no problem giving Mark Sanchez FOUR freaking years to show what he could do, and even still, continue to say that he might improve, YET, with only 16 starts to his name, you same people have concluded that Tebow is a horrible QB, or not even a QB at all. Sure, give Mark time, he's young and still learning. But Tebow ? Nah, he can't improve. What a crock of bullshit.
To my defense, i was calling Tebow a horrible QB in college. He is a great football player however. I was saying back then if he switched to another position (safety, TE, RB) he would go on to be great, but he won't give up the dream of being a mediocre QB. Mark isn't Brady but he is the best they apparently got. Greg left college with a ring, more polished and experienced then Mark and of course Alabama QB's have done pretty well for the Jets in past. I for one am prepared to throw him in the fire and see what happens.
Wow.. I think he a little upset that he won't see Tebow play this week. Lol It not only the Jets don't want to give him the chance but 31 other teams don't. Is this the start of Tebow down slide out of the NFL?
