He had his fans on the radio too. you MUST have heard D-Mac. He was about as big a tebow fanatic as there was, though even he got blasted by the zealots if he criticized a play here and there. he voiced his frustrations about that a few times about not being absolute in being 100% positive. I'd say it was about even. People were divided on Tebow and seemed close to being evenly split. If not from the radio hosts, it sure as hell was with the fanbase. Got pretty nasty between those divided fans too on Denver message boards. I do agree though, there is far less praise for him from the local media here in Denver (I live in Denver too.) But a year ago? Local news and many media outlets here seemed to think the world of the guy. Those like me who thought the defense should get more credit appeared to be in the minority. Last year was indeed amazing. Some insist I hated it, but it is really just a matter of perspective as to how the season came to be. Didn't think the Broncos would be able to sustain winning that way though. it was clear Bronco managment was not really enamored with the guy. not seeing it with the jets either.
IYO he doesn't have it. In a lot of peoples opinion he doesn't have it. All you can do is judge on what he's produced. He's been really bad at times, he's been really good at times. He has an ok W-L record for a QB who has started 16 games. We can all debate the numbers. He has positives and negatives. The biggest positive about Tebow is his ability in the redzone. This league is about scoring TD's when you get there. It's the biggest reason I think he could be successful someday in the NFL. The problem for him is leading a team into that area. I could keep going on. It's hard to know without opportunity. With his work ethic, I'm of the thinking he'll get better. Whether those improvements are good enough to be a solid starter and lift your team into the SB conversation is definitely a stretch. That's true for about 90% of QB's. Mac should start IMO. They would have to scrap under center drop back throws. With Mac they don't. I still think he should get some series in the remaining games.
Tebow should have played the second half. That game shows that Rex, Tanny, and Mark have no clue on how to do their respective jobs.
DMAC is one of the biggest idiots I've ever heard on radio. He might ask the dumbest questions when he interviews players and coaches. I tune him out.
They criticize him all the time , 99% of the analyst say he sucks. Only skip bayless likes him what world do you live in? Sanch-uranus? you are mistaking too much coverage for praise, they hardly ever give him any credit for anything. no props.. Tebow is waaaaay the under dog with everyone else piling on.
They would have won the game. They'd still be alive for playoffs. And then decide later whether they wanted McElroy or Tebow.
My guess is that less than 10% of NFL QB's have that good of a record in their first 16 starts in the league, especially those that are playing on a team with a very bad defense. If only that were true.
They had a half hour called "Tebowcenter" and in August had a birthday bash episode on all their programming, it was weird as hell.
You know no such thing. Mac would have won that game too. see... you cant prove that he couldnt have.
I can prove that McElroy couldn't have -- he wasn't active. The point was they should have pulled Sanchez to try and save the season. But I understand -- you think the right move was to stay with Sanchez in that game. I disagree.
Actually I don't. I wished they had done anything even if it meant going to Tebow. Im just saying you cant know the outcome. Tebow could have won, lost or tied.
