Are you serious? The second Peyton Manning was cleared by a doctor made it a no brainer. Yes there is risk but this is PM. Elway didn't want anything to do with Tebow and PM's signing made it that much easier to get rid of him.
Kyle Orton is a lights out practice player, there reports in Dallas that he looks amazing compared to Tony Romo in practice.
I don't know if your agreeing with me or not. Yeah its Manning, but if you have a QB that you like that's a winner, you don't drop him and go the other way. If they believed that Tebow was a good QB they would of kept him and let Manning go the other way.
There's a difference between a QB you like and is a project and someone you think can win a Super Bowl with right away. I'm not a never guy..but most likely Tebow was not going to get to a level to win a Championship in the next two years. I think you find out the most in that 24-40 start range for QB's that put up great numbers (and don't win) or put up bad numbers (and find ways to win).
To be fair, only 1 of 32 starting QBs win the superbowl each year. The odds are that most QBs will never win a Superbowl, especially considering the repeat winners. Factoring those repeat winners, approximately 99% of starting QBs will not win a Superbowl.
Ok I understand what you mean now. But we are talking about him being better than ROMO in practice...which is LUDICROUS that what was my comment was based on.
Diddy I dont even know what you are tlaking about anymore. orton was never better than Romo in any practice. that is made up.
I'd agree with everything you said. My point was Tebow was most likely not going to improve enough to be a SB caliber QB in the next 2 years (12-13 and 13-14). He would need a 85 Bears D or Ravens defense to pull it off. That puts him in a category along with a lot of other QBs I think by that 24-40 start range you'd have an idea of what your chances are. The best QB's are ones that can dominate a division for 7 years or more. Some of the QB's I'll list I'm not sure if I'd take Tebow ahead of them personally but what they proved. Stafford, Cutler, Quinn, Lindley or Skelton, Sanchez, Freeman, Rivers, Michael Vick, Palmer, Fitzpatrick..etc A lot would say they would take em all ahead because they can "actually throw the ball," but they haven't proved any more capable than Tebow of being one of those few SB winning QBs.
