This is a team that is deleated of good talent. Like others here, I too have been suffering for 40 plus years as a fan, but our drafting of "projects" Like Hill has to stop. You can "Gamble" with a pick like that if you already have a stellar WR core, but as we had/have squat, it makes for no sense. Tanny may be good at managing the cap, but knows shit about seeing talent in the draft. I never liked the Sanchez pick, and never will, but, in his defense, he hasnt had the same WR's to get on the same page with ever. I think we honestly peaked 3 years ago, and ever since, guys like Cothcery and Brad Smith have been let go only to gain Tebow and gamble the "house" for Nadi, which of course didnt work out. The succesful Teams like the Giants/Ravens/Pittsburgh always hit for paydirt in their draft picks, while we always go for projects. Kyle Wilson is another example, undersized, cant ever find the ball, couldnt cover a Tomato Plant with a circus tent.Yet he was drafted high by us. Another miss. Tanny needs to get demoted fast, and I dont know who we need to bring in, but it HAS to be someone who can evaulate talent longterm, and not a short term fix. If not I hope Woddy enjoys declining attendance, sales of merchandise, and GOD FORBID...... no more headlines! I wouldn't give Rex another year to make it work, but the OC was also a mistake, and it is showing badly. The whole world Throws the ball all over the place, but not us, just Good Ole' "Ground n' Pound" which we arent set up for with Shawn (Run into my line for a 2 yard pickup) Green who isnt a feature back, just one more in a series of blunders ignoring Glaring Holes on this team. Its time to start all over, hell........ whats a few more years after 43 right?
i actually wrote this 3 months before the thanksgiving bobbing-for-butts play. the pick of suckchise was bad enough, and the contracts he was given were even worse. last sunday we all saw what you can do if the guy at the controls doesn't wear brown pants along with his green jersey. i hope rex doesn't make the same stupid mistake and listen to the bean-counter again. leave suckchise on the sideline with the clipboard. i'd rather see kerley play qb than have that moron back on the field. start mcelroy and admit the turnover factory is done and soon gone. at least shanny cut brian griese and ate the cap hit. used the roster spot on another player who might actually help win games instead of losing them.
For the record I don't ever flame you champ. I feel I can disagree with you because I've known you long enough and I've defended you at times when others have accused you of being a troll and and not a real fan. I know different.
