And not long afterwards, his ass has been banned again. Every time I see him, he will be banned. At some point, he'll get the message.
You at least have to wait out the obligatory weak sauce biographical vignettes about being a grown ass man living his life all for his daughter and his lady plus his great gambling success.
This week is one of the reasons I groaned when this thread hit the front page. Lets face it. At least half the people here want to tank the rest of the season, while calling wins meaningless. What happened to wanting to see progress by the end of the season? Or wanting the young players to develop? Its rare you can do that while losing. There are no "meaningless wins" this year. Our QB is fighting hard to improve and is currently a dismal 2-8 in his rookie season. He needs this win for his state of mind, probably even more than Saleh. The headlines, "Wilson loses the 1st vs 2nd pick bowl" would be another wound in the ruination of our young QB. Sometimes fans seriously underestimate how much winning is essential in developing a rookie QB. These last 3 games are key to Zach' development and a huge danger zone for him. If things go poorly he could be the one that eventually tanks. In a sense its the same with MC Carter. People think he is the feature back of our future. But in reality he is ranked like 50th in the league in YPC at 3.8, and averaging about 40 yards per game. He needs to have a big showing and strong finish. Besides, draft season hasn't even started yet and everyone's predictions are meaningless because of that. There are dozens of variables that have not been revealed, or come into play yet.
You should let him stay to account for his "11-6, or maybe 12-5" predictions that he flooded us with last summer.
Zach Wilson and the Jets were destined for each other as soon as Lawrence became a non-possibility. No idea if it was a hidden mandate but where's there's smoke there is often fire and Zach's uncle owning Jet Blue put a lot of smoke in the air.
They could have done that way after the #2 pick. There was no convincing evidence that Zach Wilson or anybody not named Trevor Lawrence was a top 10 pick. Despite that 2 teams chose to make that move. I think in the end both will regret the choice. Fields was actually the 11 pick but I think the Bears will regret making the pick.
While the Jets gas tank is pulling a Jackson Browne and running on empty, their draft tank is full as usual. How nice when the highlight of your season consistently consists of how high your picks are in the next draft. At this rate, might as well just skip the season and just enjoy the drafts. Problem is the drafts results are just as shitty as the season results.
In a season or two it is not going to matter. The Jets will be in last place in December and nobody is going to care what the draft looks like because nobody is stupid enough to fall for this routine for more than a few seasons.
MC Carter is the 3rd down back of our future. If the team is good enough to make a 3rd down back relevant he is going to be a good one.
That's what the wide zone is good for. The Broncos made a killing trading away 3rd down backs for 1st and 2nd round picks and Kyle Shanahan has been relying on nobodies in San Francisco. Small and cat quick. Now we just need the rest of the offense.
I remember reading an article about the SF offense Shanahan was installing and the thing they stressed was 40 time. There were 6 backs in the league that could run a 4.3 and they had 3 of them, that was their brag. It was straight out of an Al Davis big board, but they want home runs and chunk yardage, almost remind me of Chip Kelly.
I have no doubt a RB of that style will be found in the middle rounds again. I'm more concerned about the QB's progress, having a reliable kicker, the defense looking competent, and the OL.
