    McCareins catches so much flak on this board it's ridiculous. I agree he had a few key dropped passes that would have kept some drives alive but with a running game and a strong QB to throw to him he can be a legitimate deep threat. He is also ALOT stronger than Lelie and better at blocking downfield. Lelie is a pansy ass who hates contact..that's why he just goes deep.

    I don't agree that McCareins will ever be a legitimate deep threat, he is not fast enough and has no burst from LOS. Not saying he won't turn it around this year and be productive, just don't see him catching up to those sideline outs that he has been missing for the past two years....

    he was hurt last year...im pretty sure he can catch those sideline outs...its the QB that has to get him the ball...

    Exactly...outs require a qb with a strong accurate arm so the CB can't interfere with the pass. We didn't have that last year.

    I am more concerned about our ability to get the ball to the receivers we have now.
