Saw a good point on twitter. Like the Heat/Mavs finals of 2011, instead of people talking about how good the Mavs/Seahawks played, we are going to get endless discussion about Lebron/PM.
Yeah b/c Sanchez winning one is going to trump the 15 year long success PM and BB have had? Yeahhhhh right
I would not say that Peyton spurned us twice. Archie Manning said that in 97 he contacted Parcells and told him that Peyton wanted to play for him and the Jets but would only declare if Parcells would guarantee he would take Peyton number one. Parcells refused to do it and because of that Peyton stayed in school. To my knowledge, Parcells has not denied or confirmed the story other than to say he talked with Archie before Peyton made his decision.
I don't watch much college football, but this reminded me of a college football game. One side just had much better and more talented athletes and they won easily. Usually don't see that in the NFL as consistently as you do in college football
Maybe, just maybe, contracts for QBs will drop a bit lower in the market and be more wisely spent to make the rest of the team better than average? We will see. Offense wins games, defense wins championships.
Maybe the NFL is better off when the best AFC/NFC teams don't play each other. The previous super bowls with the under dogs making it have been more exciting
Steve Levy @espnSteveLevy 25s 9 of the last 10 super bowls have been worn by the team wearing the white uniforms
Oh that 7 or 8 year streak of playing NE + NFC East in the regular season meant you won the SB has now ended. Have no clue if SEA is part of some streak, but not a popular one like SD and DEN were part of it.
If you have twitter, tweet #EsuranceSave30 to have a chance to win 1.5 million. Pretty clever ploy by Esurance. Release the ad right after the SB, get people to get you trending and etc.
Wow. NFL on ESPN @ESPNNFL 3m Not 1 single @Seahawks player had a Super Bowl ring coming into tonight's game. Now EVERY @Seahawks player has a ring. Congrats Seattle.
This performance has to put Seattle's D up there historically. And to do it in a historically friendly passing league, awesome for them. Will be really fun the next coming day to get the analysis and the all 22 view of the game. There's probably 0 reason to look at the footage from when SEA was O And DEN on D to be honest.
