The Giants are a better team than the Jets, they have significantly better O and D lines, better LBs, better Rbs, QB (though he is still pretty mediocre), really WR and maybe the Secondary are the only places the Jets are close or better.

The difference in this game was the Giants were coached way better than the Cowboys. Yeah the players still have to play. The Cowboys had a zillion more penalties and the Giants made very good halftime adjustments..........just my opinion.

Buy or Sell: Next season in the playoffs, Tony Romo will end the Cowboys season by getting sacked on 4th down.

He already fumbled a snap, and threw an interception, that's all thats left.

An athlete who shows emotion about losing a playoff game, I respect that. That's love for the game...

But now I see he's emotional towards Romo...

    Hmm.

The Giants are the 1st team to knock off a 1 seed in the divisional round in the NFC (17-0 before today)

    BTW - I'm 0/0 today and 0/0 so far.

Giants-Packers should be good. Team that will lose-Patriots, won't be.

I find myself being pretty happy for Norv and Eli today for continuing to shut up their critics.

i still do not think turner is head coach material but his staff is decent and he has gobs of talent on is team.

they get all the credit in the world for beating indy. imo its a big upset.

as for the giants - i have always admired the giants - they have had good FO people, coaches, and scouts - always draft good for the trenches and always, i mean always seem to have a boat load of talent along the defensive front 4.

i really do not know what the fuss is with eli - IMO he is a very good qb that needs certain tools around him. he can make all the throws and despite some inconsistency he is a threat for the opposing defenses.

i think the giants beat the pack and go to the bowl - since the mid 80's the giants always seem to put together a serious playoff run every 4-5 years. of course they have had their share of "mud bowls" but at least they have 3 bowl appearences in the last 20 years

The Packers will make it five straight postseason victories over the Giants (1939, 1944, 1961, 1962).

Someone should fire up a couple of “Eli Sucks” threads or my favorite…”I’d rather have Chad than Eli…Chad is WAY better”.

Hats off to Coughlin and his staff; that’s what coaching is all about. Got completely outplayed in quarter one last week and the first half this week, made adjustments and won games.

Jokers on this board think the problem with the Jets is not having a fat enough nose tackle – LOL.

I disagree on Eli. Regardless of targets, this guy is just not an accurate passer. Statistically, this was his worst season ever, despite an excellent running game and good pass protection. He was solid, and he was solid last week, but he hasn't been spectacular. The Giants as a team have picked him up, admirably. Today he was good, but I wouldn't say he was a world beater.

I'm going to wait on the Green bay weather before I pick the Giants. Eli is a horrible bad weather QB. For the most part, his struggles stem from an inconsistent grip on the ball that results in a lot of wounded ducks. If the weather's crummy, I'm going to take the Pack.

that an NFC #1 seed has never lost in the divisional round is an amazing statistic. Almost as amazing as the Giants and Dallas never losing in the playoffs.

    17 years the #1 seed beat the #4, #5, or #6 seed.

The AFC game should be real interesting, it could be anything from a close game to over by halftime. It all depends on the D lines in my opinion. SD needs to get pressure, and NE needs to stop the run, the SD secondary can't stop the Pats receivers if Brady has time, and running effectively to set up the pass is what worked so well for JAX. If SD can't get pressure and run effectively this could be a replay of week 2.

Giants are the only team to have won 9 straight road games in NFL History.

I don't think they will beat the Packers at Lambeau though.

If somebody told me one Manning would move on to the next round and one Manning wouldn't I would of agreed. I didn't think it would of been the Giants' Manning though.

    That is not true.

It should read as nine straight road games in one season.

The 49ers hold the record for most consecutive road wins- 18.

After losing in the final seconds to Phoenix on a Neil Lomax to Roy Green TD pass, the 49ers won their final two road games in 1988.
They went 8-0 on the road in 1989 and 1990.

The streak ended in the 1991 Monday Night Football opener. The Giants beat the 49ers 16-14.

Those 18 games do not include the 1988 NFC Championship Game, which was won by the 49ers 28-3 in Chicago.
Therefore, if you want to include regular season and postseason, it was a 19-game road win streak.
