Thanks for the video, I watched it but it largely confirmed my takeaway from watching the game. Becton gave up a few pressures and one sack. That's simply too many for a supposed franchise LT. If he averaged those numbers over the course of a season he'd be one of the worst LT's in the league. And again, we took this guy 11th overall so if he's anything other than very good+ then it was a bad pick for us. Don't let the other OL playing even worse make you think Becton played well. He didn't. He played badly. It just appears good compared to the utter dogshit produced by everyone else on the line. Becton had a 59 pass protection grade from PFF. He played very poorly. Perhaps not as poorly as the other guys on the OL but he definitely didn't play well.

I think Zach has got some work to do on pre-snap protection calls. Carolina's good... but not that good. Thank goodness we don't face Arizona anytime soon...
I was thinking this too. That's where he can really grow into a FQB. I didn't see much pre snap calls from him.
