I know how to account for all factors, thanks. We paid a guy a top 32 contract who topped out under 800 yards as the #1 target to start the year in an offense with Aaron Rodgers.

He’s not very good and has probably been worse here than he was in Green Bay.

sure factually those numbers are correct. Our QB also took a 10+ mil dollar paycut to have people like him around. Rodgers covered his salary with his own paycut pretty much. I'd take lazard and rodgers at 50ish mil then rodgers at 50 mil alone. IDK why people seem to forget that. This offseason was about recruiting rodgers. we added hackett, boyle, lazard, and cobb for him. those 3 players combined were pretty much covered in the paycut rodgers took so basically free. rodgers makes less then daniel jones. he's tied for the 13th paid QB with derek carr.

    EDIT:
also looked at the market reset in 2022 which was huge for WRs and basically threw out all earlier contracts. elite WRs were 25-30 (AJ brown, tyreek hill, cooper kupp, devonte adams) , WR1s were 18-24mil (cheapest kirk and diante johnson, most expensive diggs and metcalf), WR2s were about 15-17 (small sample size but renfrow and roninson were the only 2) and WR3s were about 7-11.5 (lowest cedrick wilson, highest michael gallup) 2023 followed suit. OBJ and hopkins were paid like a low end 2 (both age/injury risk with potential), Lazard, thomas, and myers were paid like high end WR3s while juju, woods, and thielan were paid like low end 3s
so lazards contract actual tracks well as a high end 3 (behind GW and CD) plus was covered by rodgers anyway. Not saying he's great but he's fine for a 3 and pretty much no net cost to make rodgers happy.

Yeah, I put it up two and a half hours after the game, the time of day is right there at the bottom of the post. You've shown your analysis of the game is skewed, now you've shown you don't even understand the concept of time - maybe that's why you constantly rate guys based on a single play or two rather than their entire effort. You jump through hoops to paint players as having put in elite performances or errors on the basis of ten seconds out of a game that goes sixty minutes or more. You're entitled to your opinion but don't expect everyone to buy into your rah, rah attitude. That was probably the worst NFL game I ever watched, the scoreboard notwithstanding.

Lazard was never great to begin with. He developed a rapport with Rodgers but he's always been a limited talent, topping out at ~50 catches a year, which is where he will finish here.

So from some standpoint he is right where he always is.

I think Hackett is using him wrong though. The guy is slow, why would you put him outside? Green Bay used him a lot in the slot, even sometimes as a quasi H-back type role. He's a big possession WR that can work the middle of the field. Hell Green Bay even gave him carries sometimes like a H-back

hackett wants a separation guy in the slot and big guys outside. thats how his offense runs. the plan was to slide GW in the slot on 3 WR sets with CD and lazard outside. in GB hackett ran adams in the slot a ton with lazard outside

Do you think that's appropriate here? Show some respect. Feel free to edit the bullshit out of your response.

Of course you didn't look at the time which made your post a lie - once again, reality interfered with your opinion.

Agree. It was incredibly lame-ass post, and still defending his take that our punter was not a stud.
On a different note, I watched a bunch of frame by frame analysis of Zach passes. While he had a few head scratches, no doubt, he had a bunch of good time passes. But what mostly stood out that some of the plays called by Hack, like having Zach roll out left on some strange formation and no outlet, were really bad. Not to mention the obvious, that every time Carter is in the back field on second or third down is a pass, only a pass and everyone knows it, not once having Cook there on third down on passing plays who btw is a decent blocker. Worst of all was Lazard, he get ZERO separation on man coverage 99% of the time and does nothing to help Zach when he is forced to rolls out. I feel we are one receiver deep.

I think most people agreed after CD retired that we were 1 GW injury away from having a pretty shit group

I hear out of the latest rumor mill, Jets podcast, Davis might come back, after all he didn't officially retire, could be just propaganda, I almost wish he would.

I respect everyone's right to their opinion; that doesn't mean I need to agree with it. I have no idea why you're talking about Twitter, It's not something I do. Accusing anyone of being a drunk is not something well balanced adults do.

you don't understand anything ever and acting like you do is far from being a well balanced adult. I told you months ago don't bother replaying to me. it'll never be a conversation and yet here you go again

You really think you get to tell me what to reply to? It's really too bad that you cannot tolerate an opinion different from your own, you sometimes even have legitimate comments to make but your attempts to control the conversation on TGG is ridiculous. Still waiting to see you man up and admit you fucked up by accusing a stranger of being a drunk.

One more time, why don't you just talk football and leave the personal crap at home?

opinions are fine. nonsense is not worth it. you can't complete a coherent thought or keep track of a conversation. I tried to tell you in a nice way, back when you were at least being nice about it. but now you are just being an ass to people for no reason
