We have been using our 3rd wideout as a decoy. I mentioned a few weeks ago that the usual patterns they run are 3 steps and stand there or a flare to the sideline and stand there. It basically puts one DB in an accountable place. The good part is it has worked great at getting Keller wide open time and time again. Especailly on 3rd down.

This is what's so exciting about watching this team now. Even a guy like Jeff Fisher is left standing there going, "WTF do I have to do to shut this God-damned team down?"

And we pretty much did the same thing to Belichick too. In his own house no less. A little taste of his own Unable-To-Cover-Wes Welker-type medicine. Just too much talent to contain.

It really has become a tough offense to gameplan for on defense.

I agree with ya about Smith. The CS keeps giving him touches. I guess having the potential of a reverse or another play put him over the top. I don;t know why though.

I would not mind seeing a little more rotation in the WR slection, but I doubt that will happen. Our guys are relatively healthy and not getting over worked every week. If any thing I'd rather see a 3rd RB get some time late in games.

Probably the sickest thing is the emergence of Keller.

But it's all of the other things too... it's just everything. I'm probably sounding like a complete homer on this, but if I were a defensive coordinator, I'd be sleepless for a week before playing the Jets right now. Where do you start?

We've brought so much talent in here this past season it was incredible. But it wasn't apparent early on that most of it, or any of it, was worth all the expense and picks, etc.

But now, all of a sudden (well... withing the last 5 weeks or so), all these peices are coming together, and they're coming together much better than even Tannenbaum and Mangini had imagined... certainly much better than most of us fans had imagined.

Dare I say, it's almost like night and day! This team is NOT the NY Jets of Week One. And the best part is, the team knows that and is actually having a lot of fun seeing it all come together.

I don't know man... I'm a Jets fan from way back, so I don't want to jinx anything, but this season is really shaping up to be something special... maybe VERY special.
