If we draft Davis with either the 4 pick or another top 10 pick (assuming we get that for Abe), I will personally lead a ralley to fire EVERYONE in Jets management. There are a few ways the Jets can screw up a golden opportunity this year and drafting Davis is one of those ways.

Vernon Davis is the best reciever in the draft.Period. He also happens to be a TE. He is a devastating blocker.

  4. Vernon Davis wouldd not be a bad pick if we either trade down or acquire the #9 pick.

This guy may be the most physically gifted Tight end prospect to ever enter the draft. He his speed and size is out of this world. He's Antonio Gates w/ top blocking ability.

W/ that said, here's what i'm looking at for picks id approve of

    #4. Cutler
    Young
    Ferguson

    Trade down or #9. Davis
    Ngota
    Justice
    Lawson

It is important to note that Vernon Davis is not just some workout warrior. Even before his eye-popping combine performance he was considered a top 12-15 pick in the draft. He is clearly the best receiving threat in this draft. Davis was excellent as a junior (51-871-17.1-6).

Flat out WRONG. How is drafting a guy who has this much potential "blowing" anything? This team has no receiving threat. Davis would give them not only a stroiong receiving threat, but a great blocker for the running game as well. He may not be my first choice, but I wouldn't throw myself off a building because if it. Adding a great player to your team is always a good move.

Vernon davis could play FB or H-Back if we told him too, and none of the players you named are as athletic as Davis. And Dallas Clark helps that offense alot......

I understand why you dont like to hear all the talk with gaping holes to fill. But picking up Ferguson at #4 makes Adrian Jones a waste because both Jones and Ferguson are only suited to play LT. I dont see what would be bad with trading down within the top 10-13 to snatch vernon davis or deangelo williams, then draft an OL in the late first or early 2nd. in that case we could get another quality pick on the OL in the 3rd rd.

i know your point and its a good one, everyone was on the brick wagon and now the workout numbers come for davis and everyone has vernon davis related posts now. i dont care anymore as long as theres no leinart or brick who we draft

Mangold won't last that long and Omar Jacobs is like a "Lesser" Vince Young, why would you want him?
