This is cool news. I'm a big Vinny fan and the haters can deny it all they want but he's taken us far many seasons. He did alot for the Jets and should get respect.
He's not a Jet. He's not a problem for our team in anyway. if he wants to go out theer and try to play some ball then let him.
Wow, thanks guys! This is the most I have laughed at 5:50 in the morning in a very long time! Vinny coming back. That is PRICELESS!
Yes. . . miracle. Wonderful board, that is. Populated with Vinny's biggest fans - paperboys, mailmen, milkmen, UPS deliverymen, etc., none of whom ever seem to be able to deliver to the correct address. EDIT: <sigh> Well, that certainly was a fleeting miracle. Your nut factory of a board is out of business again. Mailmen, paperboys, etc., back to work!!
I feel your enthusiasm, although I hope for all our sakes, he stays home on LI. I too will never forget my first mediocre Jets hero who introduced me to football. (any guesses??)
more power to him, I feel he coudlve been so much better had he not been trapped in Tampa to kick off his career. I love the guy I mean hes Vinterception but when it comes down to it he rolled off his couch last yr and schooled the bucs. anyways love the guy through all the thick and thin. best of luck to him.
Wants to break his record Gotta give Vinny his due for coming back so that he can try to break his record Int. total (35 in '88) Go for it Vinny, 36 is in the cards for you this year if you put ur mind to it!
I think it's amazing the man can still play QB at 42. He really took good care of his body--despite having some serious o-line issues in Tampa. That win over Tampa last year was great. I wish he was our 4th stringer--he's always good for at least one win. If a team thinks he's better than their 3rd stringer, why not go for it? Make money while you can and pad your stats if you get the chance. Just be willing to help coach the younger guys--do a good job and get a real coaching job someday. We owe Vinny for a few good years there and for saving us from starting a CFL quarterback this last season.
This is very sad if this is the most exciting news to be talking about. I would be surprised if Vinny can still take a 5 step drop without pulling muscles or breaking bones. Please do everyone a favor and DON'T come back Vinny. Your time has passed!
I think Vinny should end his career a Jet. But if he still feels he's got it in him, go have fun Vin, and good luck.
why does he have to play and go through practices if hes just going to be helping the young qbs. we dont they just hire him as a qb coach.
