This is a joke, right? You want us to lose every game before the season even starts - and then when criticized it's the fault of the readers?
No. It was so they could have scented stench that could waft further and in more inventive ways... EDIT: ...while reciting overblown poetry. HAH.
Nothing like the smell of funk covered in Chanel when your watching Jerry Lewis movies. We should give a little tribute to the French on the 4th.
what is the deal with the jerry lewis...is he still the number one seller over there......that man wasnt even funny 40 years ago and those retards are still renting the patsy like its a new release at Le blockbusture
Holy Cr*p, HAH. See, this is why I love this place. It caters to my inner sassy. As does being a JETS fan. It's all part of the Master Plan - JETS fans rule, and they know how to work a room - of mental patients.
Well, isn't that the reaction you were looking for? You even said it yourself that you were trying to "stir up the pot" in your first post. Is it really surprising that fans would oppose rooting against their own team?
...actually, it's pretty easy to root for them to lose every game. I don't feel 'dirty' in any way. In fact, I feel downright giddy just imagining all their 'fans' swearing they've been Bucs fans all along...
While I do not expect miracles this year, I would be very concerned and worried if we went 0-16 or 1-15 (something like that). I think a record like that would speak very negatively about the new coaching staff. Plain and simple, we are not a 0-16 or 1-15 team. We should win at least 6 games and possibly go as high as 9 (9 reflects the absolute best I think we can do if everything is clicking for most of the year and we get a little lucky too). I always root for the Jets to win, but I also accept that we are rebuilding from a total debacle left behind from Herm and Co.
Umm, no you dont root to lose. this is new management, mangini is on the clock for success, and while he'll be given a pass this yr by most, we need to see what kind of team he can actually field. we dont need to win alot this yr though, we need to establish an identity, a mold that the team buys into therefore chemistry develops. and im not trying to sound like a darksider or an impatient jets fan, but if we drop a bunch of games and it appears to be the coaching. then we cant think, oh we'll have a great draft and mangini will have us roarin next yr! no, he'll take his lumps but this yr we should be able to see what hes made of aside from the W-L column. ill just put it this way if we pick top 5 again i hope its in a trade.
Im not saying i hope we lose, but honestly i rather we not win so many games.U can still show progress without winning so many games. The cardinals for example finished top 10 in the league in offense and defence but still only won 5 games.Winning only 4-6 games wouldnt really be that bad if we show progress. Note-I want Adrian Peterson,BADLY No homo
It is not about drafting quality players, bub. It's more about raising the draftfed prospects into the game-breaking players. This is why I believe it is at least prudent to give Mangini regime 3 seasons of grace period. This year, by default, Mangini gets a pass, since he just drafted his players, and the record this year reflects the talent level he inherited, not what he drafted. Top 10 draft picks year after year? Look at what Bengals ended up with in the 90's.
whats the point of losing every year to get good draft picks? the answer is to win games buddy think about it.
This is the most ridiculous debate that occurs on this site. Losing never helps. It fosters a losing atmosphere that becomes accepted first by the players, and then new players copming to town, and it's a brutal cycle to get out of. Just ask fans of the Lions or Cardinals. Now, according to this inane argument, the theory goes that by losing all the games we have, we get the top pick. Someone please point me to the data that proves that the first overall pick is always an impact player. Wait, I'll save you time: it doesn't exist. The only guarantee with the first overall pick is that your cap space is decimated by an unproven rookie who, much more often then not, never lives up to the hype. So can we please put this to bed? It's a lame argument that has no basis in fact whatsoever.
Simply put, I would rather not have the first pick in the draft next year. I do not want to end the season and be "on the clock".
You play to win. You don't play to lose. I don't care who's the number one draft pick, that's just rediculous.
