I really like our match-up against them... Steven Jackson is going to be out of practice part of this week. Our dominant run-D should force a frustrated Bulger to continue throwing interceptions. Revis on Holt... Avery is intimidating, but I think we can shut him down with Barrett and Safety help. On the other side of the ball... bad run D should allow me to have a big day with Thomas Jones in fantasy, their pass D hasn't exactly showed up either. It's no guarantee we win - but if Favre manages the game like the Bills game, we should win this one.
We lost to the Raiders, whose offense racked up a grand total of 77 yards yesterday in the process of being shut out by Atlanta. We shouldn't be bragging about stomping anybody; let's just focus on getting the W.
Yo Johnny, I'm sending the ticket to bring that video to Hawaii in person...hehe... I tried to PM you but my post count is too low... Mahalo for the message and I'm wondering how to connect with you... you can send an email direct to me .... my email is nat@maui.net Nat
What we should see is what we saw in the second half of the Bills game, minus the pick-6 of course. We should impose our will upon the Rams defense. Beat them down early and often with the run and short passes. This will open up for play action and larger gaining plays. Let Favre get into a groove, the O-line, T. Jones. We will need all of these working when we meet up with the Patriots. And like I stated when we beat the Chiefs, a win, is a win, is a win. Go Jets!!!
we lost to a team in their own stadium after traveling across country. i do not see how this is relevant. we're playing at home, we will win huge after beating the bills on their turf.
Yes, but those were the Raiders. For some reason this fact alone makes that loss unfathomable. If not, always fall back to almost losing to the Chiefs. We're going to rip the Rams IMO. I wanna see D'Brick tossing Long and Little around.
^ True, I don't see Brick getting beat by the Rookie or the really old man. Brick is locked in right now.
What the heck do you mean it's not going to happen. Of course it can freaking happen. They are now just hitting their stride. All the new players have been worked into the system. We can honestly expect better results in the 2nd half which could mean dominating victories and a division championship!!!!
We'll have to find a way (Jenkins being as good as last week) to get sacks and also close the pocket on every pass play. Our Pass D will be tested this Sunday, believe that!
Rams are 6th in sacks allowed. I think the pass rush gets to Bulger more than 3 times next sunday. But pressures are more important - Elam's pick 6 was due to QB pressure.
In order to "stomp the Rams": -better red zone efficiency (Don't leave so much up to Feely) -consistent D-Line play (a continuation of Jenkins' beastliness) -Play action (Favre sells a mean play-action fake; someone is bound to bite on it) Jets: 28 - Rams: 17
Yes. I wonder if some coaches are stubborn enough to say "he's very good, but he's no Hester" and continue to give the Jets the ball at the 40 yrd line after his returns.
Last year the Jets were a total joke and they still managed to beat a good Steelers team. I don't want the Jets to get Rammed by surprise.
1. Jets were very careful on Avery and Avery did show some flashes but holding calls doomed him. Bulger/Green didnt help him too credit to the Jets D-Line 2. Ok he would be on the ground 4-5 times had he played all game. But really the Jets did what needed to be done and that was to smack arguably the WORST O-Line in the NFL(For the 2nd straight year). 3. Thomas Jones was more than effective, I was wrong here. He was playing with these guys on the field and moved at will. Leon was pretty sick too late in the game. Rams LB's moved slower than molasses, Witherspoon might be the lone good player of that core. They need to get themselves a LB in round 2 of the draft after they draft Michael Oher round 1. 4. Meh, ok switch Cotcherys projected stats with Keller and nicely put. But really, it was awesome to see Keller unleashed against these shallow safeties in an overall small and undersized secondary. Favre wasnt really needed so Coles and Cotch didnt have much to do. 5. No turnovers=No hope for St Louis. Awesome. And my final score was off thats for sure. 47-3........Damn the Jets really did stomp the Rams to oblivion.
the definition of stomp per websters is as follows: "To tread or trample heavily or violently on." we hath stomped
