I guess you missed the part where your kicker made an awful kicking mistake. Let's not blame your coach for calling an onside kick, when he never called for an onside kick to begin with. Did you not watch the game?

This article popped up in my Spoolios feed and I thought it was pretty funny. I think Stevie Johnson is a bit of a jackass, but the celebration didn't make me feel more or less so.

    blogging.spoolios.com/spoolblog/blog/JeffHart/125/

"As for 'graceless,' that depends on how you feel about mocking guys for doing time. I found it funny, initially, but can definitely see a side where it might not be cool to rib a guy for losing two years of his life because Mike Bloomberg wanted to write a cautionary tale. It’s a matter of taste, I suppose. For instance, I’d also find it funny if someone mimed a game of fetch after taking a pick-six back on Michael Vick."

That's particularly my favorite bit, especially because that celebration would make me laugh forever.

As far as Johnson's concerned, I wasn't terribly offended, though admittedly, I'm a Jets fan because of the QB (never had a favorite NFL team before), so I probably don't have a deep hatred of the division rivals that other people do. I laughed at the article because my first thought about Costas was that he came worse than Johnson. Wide receivers do stupid celebrations. Whatever, no news there. I like Costas, but I hate when they get this haughty, holier-than-thou attitude, like they're righting some terrible wrong over something as stupid as this.

Fined $10,000. Couldn't happen to nicer douchebag.

As soon as he made his hands into pistols I knew it was coming.

I was actually at the game so wasn't able to hear a live broadcast or see the press conferences after. I posted before I got all that. I still put it on Gailey. Kicker has only been on the team 2 weeks, probably hasn't practiced squibbing much if at all to a fully manned kickoff return team. It was late in the half, kick it deep and play defense.

Some of you are way to sensitive. Plexico himself didn't have a problem with the celebration so why should you? He took it well. Players rib each other, thats what they do. Stevie wasn't disrespecting him nor did Plex take it that way.

Political correctness and sensitivity is going to end this world soon!!

Not at all IMHO. Just like last year, when he did the "why so serious" portraying T.O and Ocho Cinco as Batman and Robin. He's out there having fun.

I would like to see him approach the commissioner though and get clarification on what exactly gets a flag and possible fines. Because that TD while funny, cost us the game.

No clarification necessary. He went to the ground, and it is very explicit that if you do that you're going to get 15 yards. There's been no suggestion that he got the penalty for the mocking of Burress.

it was when he went to the ground. you are not allowed to go to the ground during a TD celebration. it was the plane crash move at the end that did it.

and ill be honest, i found it funny. i support celebration and think that more players should be creative. it was a joke and thats that. if he didnt fall on the ground like an idiot, there would not have been a flag or really that much attention drawn to it.

Just to be clear, the flag was for falling to the ground. The fine was for the Burress bit, specifically simulating hand guns.

When Stevie did it, it was funny, but wrong. (Shoot me (no pun intended) for saying both.)

LeBron doing it is just goonish.

And of all people Stevie Johnson should know that, given he got a 15 yard penalty for going to the ground while celebrating last season. He is exceedingly self-centred or exceedingly dumb, or both.

That penalty didn't cost you the game. It was a mere 15 yards. If you actually had a defense, you would have still made the stop. Don't blame a penalty for us taking it to house on you in the clutch. The only reason you were even still in it was because of 2 bad mistakes in our own territory setting up points for you guys.

I don't get it when people speak that crap. These "mistakes" are part of the game and they happen in EVERY game. I could easily flip that and say the "only reason you guys were in the game was because of Stevie's penalty, the ensuing muffed kickoff setting up points for you guys, and Stevie's dropped TD at the end"

we all can play the if game all day.

just realize your bills suck, they always have suck, and they will probably always suck.

and before you respond with 'what have the jets done' we do have a Vince Lombardi trophy, albeit it's from 1968.

the bills history has been pathetic, you haven't won a playoff game since the J.Kelly era, really??????????????

your stadium is one of the worst in all of sports [I've been there] and I got a neck cramp from looking back at your one screen, yes one.

not to mention your franchise's greatest player is a double murderer.
