It's also worth mentioning that KC is having arguably their best year in a long time, without berry. Safety is a trash position to be taking that early. Maye in the second turned out to be a great pick and would seem even more genius if Watson was the first pick.... sigh looks like it's 6-10 once again... oh you say there is a can't miss 320 lb nose tackle who is the highest rated player in the draft????? yaaaaaaaaaay .........
Yeah? Are you "satisfied that your team took a shot to get the most important position locked down" with the Geno Smith pick? Some examples of non-QBs who could have been taken instead: Le'veon Bell Travis Kelce Eddie Lacy Tyrann Mathieu Kawann Short Jamie Collins Kiko Alonzo Kevin Minter Johnathan Hankins All these guys were taken between the Geno Smith pick and the Jets 3rd rounder that year, Brian Winters. Any of them would have been a better use of a pick than was Geno, in my opinion.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I have seen some shitty posts but this one takes the cake. Eric Berry has helped win how many games and how has the Chiefs looked since Berry went down this year? They are awful on defense now. They probably won't get home-field advantage. All that hype is going down the drain.
Kansas City has lost 2 games in a row, that defense is taking a step back. They are no longer having their best year, Alex Smith is, but still they are starting to regress. Eric Berry is sorely missed on that defense.
Berry went down game 1..... chiefs have went 4-2 since then, with a narrow defeat to Pittsburgh and a weird Thursday night last second loss on the road to Oakland.... so I'd say the Chiefs who are the only team to beat the eagles and did it without Berry are doing pretty damn good without him
None of those guys are winning me a super bowl so yeah I'm ok with taking a shot at someone who plays the only position in football that effects if you win a Super Bowl or not... and why would you include Eddie lacy in there lol
Wait.... you researched teams, and you picked the Jets? Remind me to never ask you for advice in the stock market. I got stuck with the Jets because my dad is a Jets fan. He got to see Joe Willie win a super bowl. I've gotten to see.. nothing. Absolutely nothing. May god have mercy on your soul.
Lost 2 in a row and did you see Carr rip that secondary apart? Berry is a game changer and you are not realizing the importance of the safety position in today's game. Takes more than a qb to get the ring. Fans need to realize that Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
They also won 4 in a row without berry. Including a win over one of the best offenses in the league(eagles) the Chiefs will have a chance at the super bowl this year because they have a quarterback finally playing at franchise Qb level.
you have a great point but lacy is a fat piece of shit so really shouldn't be on the list. but yeah tons of good names there, still in the draft hindsight is 20/20 why not list all the other shitty players we could have missed on as well. you listed 9 players out of the 32 picks between so obviously we aint the only one's that fucked up
You're right, but I never would've taken Geno - he was NOT a 1st round pick...hell, he wasn't even a 2nd round pick!
Well it wasn't much of a choice really. I have been living in NY metro area for the past 13 years so I had to pick Jets or Giants. I went with the Jets and don't laugh at me but I am happy I didn't become a Giants fan. I love my Jets.
Nicely done, I agree. I think an even greater travesty was done with Mark Sanchez. Yet many thought we were really going places with him, even me at one point. Probably most of those people are now clamoring for Darnold, another massive mistake In the making as of now. Before we pick the next QB, we better have an offensive minded HC that knows a thing or two about developing a winning QB.
Sanchez could've been okay if they didn't let all the surrounding talent disappear without replacing it. That's the danger of having a HC that doesn't understand offense I know everyone hates Snachez, but he was ruined by imbeciles.
Of course KC did not get Smith through the draft, so the whole issue still remains. It's a crap shoot to pick a QB in the draft, and you need more than a QB. Case in point are other teams like Indy with Luck, Titants with Marriotta, Washington with the second pick of the draft, Cleveland with more first picks than anyone, etc, etc, etc. Atlanta with a great QB was torched because of a shit show defensively. And sadly at the end of the day is always someone like Brady that wins it all. And where was he picked? , a mere afterthought by every one including the Pats.
