For the record Mantana is in 1st and I am in 2nd after this week Getting back to NFL. Vernon Golston looks like a beast, but then again you WERE picking 6th so the guy BETTER be good. Dustin Keller who you traded up to get sounds like a strong TE Dwight Lowery supposedly has the talent to be a possible playmaker, so opposite Revis..who knows Erik Ainge..Other than QB depth, what does this pick do for you guys? Marcus Henry sounds like he has a bad case of the dropsies....didn't you guys have someone like that cost you the Baltimore game this year? Garner sounds like a solid late rounder...
I was also talking to another fan of Pittsburgh today and he loved the draft, I do to, hopefully Sweed pans out as Plaxico but with better speed
Didn't you guys take Choice, too? I love the kid and think that he will do well in the NFL but that makes the Steelers have a lot of running backs. And Dixon on top of that? That's a lot of offense you guys just got in this draft.
Choice? We got 1st Mendellhall - RB 2nd Sweed - WR 3rd Davis - LB 4th Hills - OT 5th Dixon - QB 6th Humpal - OLB 6th Mundy - S (Maybe we can cut Anthony Smith who so far his biggest claim to fame was calling out the Pats then getting torched multiple times..
Most GM's were too bust drafting 2nd and 3rd round Olineman in the first....I was glad the Steelers didn't reach for a lineman after all the good ones were gone...
I think the Steelers had the best draft hands down. The first 4 picks my mouth hit the floor... and with the potential of Dixon if Ben goes down? Good friggin drafting Pitt...
Time will tell...I'm still not sure we needed Dixon but he was one of the most dynamic college players last year til he got hurt so how can you really go wrong in the 5th round.
Yeah, I got to admit Mendenhall looks like the steal of the draft. As good as Dixon is I was still a little surprised with the Steelers taking any QB. Sweed seemed to be a real good value for that late in the 2nd round too.
Yeah I loved the Steelers draft. Mendenhall will be for the Steelers what LaMont Jordan was for the Jets, and Limas Sweed will be exactly what Plaxico was supposed to be while he was on the Steelers. Oh yeah and they replaced Antwaan Randle El too... look out for that offense!
actually marcus henry has amazing hands. that and his production are the only thing that got him drafted, the only knock on him is lack of elite speed. but hes got size too.
