Ewoks were great characters. I haven't seen any spinoff movies with just Jar Jar Binks in them. Ewoks were cute, Jar Jar was ugly. Ewoks were childish, JarJar was an idiot. Ewoks spoke a different mumble language, JarJar spoke in the most annoying voice ever.

Vader to Leia in the original Star Wars (I will never call it "Episode 4"). While I understand the admiration for the technical and directing merits of "Empire Strikes Back," I believe that many people over the age of 40 would agree with me that nothing could match the impact of the original Star Wars in 1977 - there had been nothing like it in the movies ever. And that is why I chose it.
It's all about Empire, to quote Dante in Clerks Empire had the better ending, Luke gets his hand cut off finds out Vaders his father Han gets frozen taken away by Boba Fet. It ends on such a down note. That's what life is, a series of down notes. All Jedi had was a bunch of muppets. Seriously that's why Empire is better, it is such a depressing movie from begining to end. The Rebels get crushed on Hoth and then from there the movie is nothing but depresing sequence after anther. Even when Luke goes to the swamp to find Yoda it's a dam swamp. My favorite line My friend doesn't like you I'm sorry I don't like you either I'll be careful You'll be dead!!!
I waited on line for 2 hours with my dad to see the original and it was just amazing and there wasnt anything like at all like you said, but Empire took what the original was and made it better.

Has anyone watched Ep. 4 since the release of Revenge of the Sith? If so have you noticed R2-D2's reaction when he sees Obi Wan after Obi Wan scares away the sand people?? It's comes out a little different than it had before
I agree! I can still remember when it came out. Long lines at the theaters, anticipation for something that has never been done before. Amazing!
Hopefully someone here will know this. It's actually pretty cool. Lucas didn't want ANYONE to know the surprise (Darth Vader being Luke's father) so he wrote a seperate script for this part. I think Mark Hammil knew but that was it.
Jeff, George Lucas wanted it to be Episode IV from the start, but Fox Studios didn't want that in because they thought it would be too confusing. So he took it out until Empire Strikes Back came out. That's when he added it in. I'm not sure if that was the same time he added in "A New Hope" or not though.
