Nah, nto a big Eddie fan, fast doesn't equal greatest in my book. It's acuytally a very hard question but you don't have a single jazz guitarist listed which is tough to omits... I'm sure you know that hte jazz is harder to play then the 1-4-5 blues that most rock is based off of... Also a big fan of improve...much bigger sign of musicality then practicing scales and such to improve the chops...
oh, you said that Eddie is isn't the one thart most have the problem wit, who is it then? I like guys with an original voice...
yea, though thingto say abotu greatest blues player ever. Lots of good ones.... Why no Jaz guitarists...much more chops required to play jazz well..
Haha, true...Still there are some seriosuly good playhers in some other stlyes though,,,,do you play.?
Nice..my brother too....I play the guiter...not well though I guess I disagree with you list because the blues rock is the least interesting to me...I prefer jazz, prog rock , fusion and improvisational rock...
Because I posted earlier that the Jets were interesting in TJ Williams.... NCAA | T. Williams interviews at the NFL Combine Sat, 25 Feb 2006 16:27:44 -0800 During his NFL Combine interview, North Carolina State TE T.J. Williams said he measured a height of 6-2 1/3 and a weight of 269 pounds. He said his agent is Jimmy Sexton. Williams said his strengths are stretching the field, getting open and reading the defense; making sure he's available for the quarterback. Williams feels he is a good blocker. Not Jets related but still interesting... Chargers | Team will meet with V. Davis Sat, 25 Feb 2006 16:27:16 -0800 During his NFL Combine interview, Maryland TE Vernon Davis said he is scheduled to meet with the San Diego Chargers at the Combine.
http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/9267896 Jets | Team talking with Condon Sun, 26 Feb 2006 07:01:09 -0800 Dave Hutchinson, of the Star-Ledger, reports agent Tom Condon met with the New York Jets Saturday, Feb. 25, to discuss QB Chad Pennington's contract situation. Condon indicated that Pennington is willing to work with the Jets, who want him to take an $8 million pay cut to $1 million with the chance to recoup money in incentives. Condon, however, has told other agents at the Combine that he has made a counteroffer of a base salary of between $4 million and $5 million with the opportunity for Pennington to earn the rest in incentives. Chances are the two sides will reach a compromise. Jets | Abraham says it is time to move on Sun, 26 Feb 2006 06:58:12 -0800 Steve Serby, of the New York Post, reports New York Jets franchised DE John Abraham is more than ready to leave the Jets. "I don't think they really respect me as a player," Abraham told The Post yesterday in his first public remarks since being slapped with the $8.3 million franchise tag. "I feel I overstayed my welcome in New York. It's time to move on." What particularly irks Abraham is the silent treatment he's gotten from the Jets. "Their communication was really bad with me throughout the whole year," he said. There are rumblings that new head coach Eric Mangini and general manager Mike Tannenbaum will explore trading Abraham between now and the April 29 NFL Draft. Abraham has yet to sign the $8.3 franchise tender. Asked if he plans on signing it, Abraham said: "I'm not sure. It's according to what they're going to do. No one from that organization has called me personally." Jets | Team still trying to trade for Ramsey Sun, 26 Feb 2006 06:56:59 -0800 The New York Daily News reports the New York Jets are still working on a trade with the Washington Redskins for QB Patrick Ramsey.
Couldn't let this one go...ever hear of Stevie Ray Vaughn...that's the best blues guitarist ever. And I like Eric Clapton, but he got blown away by Robbie Robertson at the Bbo Dylan tribute concert...check it out.

Said he expected to meet with the Tennessee Titans as he had good interaction with their coaching staff during the Senior Bowl. -Is doing full workout except the bench press. -Feels his versatility of having college experience both inside and outside will be a plus at the pro level for a young linebacker. -Said his strongest attributes are his ability to get off blocks, make plays all over the field and his quickness and change of direction skill. DeMeco Ryans/LB/Alabama -Measured in at 6’1 1/2 / 236 pounds. -Has had no interviews with any teams yet, as he just got in Saturday night. -Will do a full workout. -Feels his speed and bench press will make him stand out. -Had a 3.5 GPA and said academics have always come first for him. -Said his biggest strengths are his instincts, anticipation of where the ball is going, and the ability to pick up an audible or signal and relay them to his teammates. Runningback 40 Times: Jerious Norwood/Mississippi State: 4.42 || 4.40 Lawrence Vickers/Colorado and Naufahu Tahi/BYU barely broke 4.90 in either running of the 40. Scouts have been very impressed with the interviews they have done with A.J. Hawk/Ohio State. Scouts are also saying that the intensity he shows on the field has come off well in the interviews. As of right now, scouts feel like there is only one elite 1st round Wide Receiver at the combine. That receiver is Santonio Holmes/Ohio State. The consensus from Scouts at the combine is that they are not happy that players such as Reggie Bush/USC, DeAngelo Williams/Memphis and Lendale White/USC are chosing to wait until their Pro Day to work out for scouts. Many scouts feel that they are following in the footsteps of Auburn 's Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams, who both opted to wait last year. Their results really boosted their draft stock and many scouts would rather see those results at the Combine with all the other prospects. Code: Todays Daily Notes Jets seem to be looking for abrahams replacement through the draft.
A heaping helping of Website Whispers Premium Story By Dan Leberfeld Date: Feb 25, 2006 If the Jets fail to land Virginia offensive tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson in the first round, another possibility could be to trade down and pick Auburn offensive tackle Marcus McNeil, who improved his stock on Saturday by running a 5.07 forty -- a great time for a 6-7 ½, 335-pound man. Another second-round possibility for the Jets would be Miami’s Eric Winston, who ran a 4.94 forty, at 6-7 1/2, 315 pounds . . . Ferguson really helped himself at the combine. While he didn’t work out, he impressed people during interviews. He’s extremely bright and well-spoken, and actually wore a suit to interviews with teams, which impressed many. He also helped his stock by checking in at a bigger size than people expected. At the Senior Bowl, he measured 6-5 ½ and 298 pounds. At the combine, he checked in at 6-6 and 312 pounds. He actually grew a half inch over the last few weeks and gained 14 pounds. This additional size will help him in the eyes of NFL scouts. Some people thought he might be a little skinny at Virginia, but at his new size he now looks the part of a franchise left tackle. He will work out for the pro scouts on March 21 at UVA . . . Jets quarterback Chad Pennington is in Florida, like he was last off-season, rehabbing his shoulder at the IMG Complex in Bradenton, under the guidance of trainer Dave Donatucci. Pennington’s agent -- Tom Condon -- and Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum met on Saturday in an attempt to iron out a new contract for the quarterback. If Pennington isn’t willing to take a huge pay cut, he will likely be released. It has been reported that the Jets want Pennington to cut his base salary from $9 million to $1 million. From what we hear, Pennington isn’t crazy about the idea since, in his mind, it’s not his fault the team didn’t provide him good offensive line protection, leading to a pair of shoulder injuries. Re-negotiations have taken up much of Tannenbaum’s time at the combine, so he hasn’t had much time to scout players. “Mike Tannenbaum wants to be in the dome looking at players, but he has to clear $10 million,” said one league source. Jets director of college scouting, Jesse Kaye, and head coach Eric Mangini are heading up the Jets' large contingent of player evaluators . . . A good second-round consideration for the Jets would be UCLA tight end Mercedes Lewis. It looks like he has fallen behind Vernon Davis and Leonard Pope at the position. Lewis is 6-6, 260 pounds, and perhaps the best combination blocking-receiving tight end in the draft. Lewis was a tremendous basketball player in high school, and was offered a hoops scholarship by UConn . . . Teams will find out what the 2006 salary cap will be on Monday . . . The best 40-yard dash on Saturday was run by UCLA running back Maurice Drew, who clocked 4.39. The Jets need some speed at the running back position, and he would make a nice candidate . . . Titans GM Floyd Reese feels that this isn’t a good wide receiver draft at the top, but there are a lot of good 2nd-, 3rd- and 4th-rounders . . . The Jets clearly have a lot of needs in this upcoming draft, and aside from the possible addition of extra draft picks via a John Abraham trade, there could be more additional selections on the way. The Jets lost three premium free agents last year – defensive tackle Jason Ferguson, running back LaMont Jordan and offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie. Those losses should lead to the Jets receiving extra compensatory picks. “The number of picks a team receives equals the net loss of compensatory free agents up to a maximum of four,” according to a league release. “Compensatory picks will be positioned within the third through seventh rounds based on the compensatory free agents lost.” The highest pick distributed last year was to the Tennessee Titans, who received the 96th overall selection at the end of the third round. They also received the 136th pick, at the end of the fourth round. The Jets could end up with similar picks, and since this draft is strong in the middle this could really help them add a pair of contributors . . . The Jets' move to the 3-4 isn’t coming at a great time. With the success of that system, and with Bill Belichick disciples all over the league (Miami’s Nick Saban, Cleveland’s Romeo Crennel and the Jets' Eric Mangini), there are more teams in the market for 3-4 players for their front seven. “The pool is getting smaller,” said Crennel. “With more teams moving to the 3-4, a lot of teams are looking for similar players.” . . . Great line from Vanderbilt quarterback Jay Cutler when asked if his upcoming riches will change him. “We will soon find out,” said Cutler. Cutler was great with the media at his combine press conference, and if the Jets pick him it doesn’t look like the New York market will be too big for the kid from Santa Claus, Indiana . . . Jets owner Woody Johnson is at the combine . . . Former Jets offensive line coach Doug Marrone, who is now the Saints' offensive coordinator, isn’t allowed to talk about his departure from the Jets. “I’m not legally allowed to talk about anything regarding the Jets,” said Marrone in Indianapolis. Obviously, part of Marrone’s buyout was a clause where he wasn’t allowed to discuss the details of his departure . . . Code: Plently of Jets News. :jets:
Wide Receiver Group One 40 Times Devin Aromashodu/WR/Auburn: 4.48 || 4.43 Hank Baskett/WR/New Mexico: 4.49 || 4.45 Jeremy Bloom/WR/Colorado: 4.53 || 4.52 --Did not work out with the Wide Recievers Chad Jackson/WR/Florida: 4.38 || 4.35 --Looked to be the best WR out there of this group. Workout Notes: Jason Avant/WR/Michigan: Had a good workout. Marques Hagans/QB/Virginia: Former UVA QB had an outstanding workout at the Wide Receiver position. Bruce Gradkowski/QB/Toledo: He was on all day and elevated his draft stock more than likely. Jay Cutler/QB/Vanderbilt: Looked solid in workouts. Ingle Martin/QB/Furman: Had a solid workout today.
Like that weve talked to Spencer. And like the article says, Mercedes Lewis and Marcus McNeill are two guys we should give serious consideration to. I especially like Lewis, and have been talking about him for a while now, and if he falls to the top of the 2nd, IMO hes a player we cant pass up on

I like hearing our team linked to McNeill, Lewis, and Spencer. Hopefully they have a lot of interest in each.
