this was my thinking as well. i dont view revis as eligible yet. another 2-4 years as a jet on pro bowl play and maybe he takes over
It's hard to argue with those four, whom all played key roles on the lone SB winner in our history. The only other player I would even consider to join those four would be Joe Klecko, and I don't know how either Philbin or Grantham could not be there. Curtis Martin, Mo Lewis, Revis and others don't even belong in the conversation imo.
Everybody has to be retired before you carve them into stone. I'd go with Namath, Maynard and Martin for sure. The 4th spot would be a toss-up between Joe Klecko and Kevin Mawae.
A Super Bowl win is a team effort. I thought the OP's question was more about individual contributions.
Really surprised by the lack of love for Mo Lewis. I realize Martin played in the same era, but somebody was playing defense too.
gastineau is the reason i am a jet fan, hard for me to leave him off but klecko was so good across the entire line
Namath, McNeil, Maynard, Gastineau. I can't pick Revis, as he would hold out for his own mountain. MG was our JJ watt, I can't leave him off the mountain.
