While Sanchez was pretty good in those playoff runs, I do wonder how they would have went with a hopefully healthy Favre.
My clueless sister in Miami sent me a late Christmas present that year that arrived the day after we lost to Pennington and the Fins - It was a Favre jersey. Opening that package was just another kick in the nuts from a franchise that has been kicking me in the nuts for 40+ years. It hangs in my closet and has never been worn because I see it as a symbol of our franchise's failure. It's not that I hold any ill will towards Favre personally. It's more that the Favre trade, dumping Pennington, the early run of good play, the late season collapse, the humiliating dong texting scandal, and Favre leaving for Minny were all classic Jets scenarios, which play themselves out over and over with this franchise. Sorry for being such a Negative Nancy on the eve of season, but it still hurts and stirs up my darkside anger.

No, no, no! Listen you're right about the hooker part, but the rest is all screwed up. Here it goes: Bringing in Favre was exactly like hiring a hooker. You get a quick, cheap thrill but then you're left with a mess you have to clean up and feeling like someone was just yanking your chain.
Definitely like your version better, although I might add: finding your wallet missing when it's all over.
