You must be kidding. Do some research. The pats feel like they got screwed. The whole stupid goal was to jump through hoops, so that the Jets would not be able to get Cassel.
Cassell is on a one year contract and has a huge salary, I wonder if that reduced his trade value. With KC's second round pick they are prolly going to get Clay Matthews to go along with Brian Cushing in the 1st round. Goodbye, "aging LB corps".
Yes, I'm sure some research will reveal a quote from BB complaining about how he got screwed in a trade that he made. There was no market, for one reason or another. They got a 2nd round draft pick for a player they didn't need and someone they were going to cut anyways. They now have 6 of the first 100 picks in the draft. I'm not sure how they got screwed on this one when they just gained what is almost a low first round pick while clearing up 18 million in cap space.
 If O'Connell was just athletic...BB wouldn't have drafted him.....Football smarts and leadership are also in the equation....This kid has both according to reports... I think I'll trust BB on this pick ...especially a 3rd rounder
You're right. It is astonishing that Pioli made that deal without signing him to a new deal. Cassell can leave after this year but of course KC will Franchise him again before that happens.
