I'd like to see less penalties and more cohesion from the O-Line and the D-Line to break through on passing downs the way they do with the run.

I'm excited to see what Pryor could do and I'm hoping to see Allen and Pryor out there at the same time. With Allen starting at Corner last week I think it can be a safe jump to think he can go ahead and be the second saftey, no matter what the actual designation is.

Agree with what most people have said. Great to hear Walls and Pryor will get starting reps. I want to see our secondary bounce back and better scheming from Rex

Salas, Hill, Nelson - who can be a reliable target opposite Decker?

Geno - make the reads, protect the ball.

Offensive line - especially Aboushi and Winters.

Bohannon has done nothing to distinguish himself but Young is still working with the #2s so I'd like to see one of them step up tonight. Young gets into some special teams action but wearing the same number as Edds makes it hard to see which one is out there sometimes. I like the aggressiveness I've seen from Young but there's not all that much to judge by in the FB spot. There's a 98% chance they're keeping a FB - which one will it be?

Looking at the whole offense, but specifically the OLine and Geno. I've all but given up on Hill. Can Salas get separation. Can Amaro pull in a few passes and increase his confidence.

Defense I'm looking at Coples. Get after the QB. Secondary I expect to be a bit better because Wilson will be in the slot. Allen will still be playing CB, so I'm hoping he just shows signs of improvement.

There is so much hate for the Giants here... I get it, they are our crosstown rival and all that, but personally, ever since the two Superbowls where they beat Brady and the Pats, I have fairly positive feelings about the G-men. I don't root for them or anything, but you gotta realize, they single-handedly kept our most hated QB from becoming the greatest of all time (with 5 rings and a perfect season, he would've leapfrogged Montana, whereas now, he might be in the convo, but with the Spygate and Belichick and all that, I think Montana gets a slight edge). So yeah, it's hard for me to hate the Giants now.

On topic, I want to see how our secondary plays with Pryor starting, and AA continuing his CB experiment, and Walls as well. Want to see if Geno and co can get some momentum and more of a passing groove. Obviously seeing Stephen Hill play well would be something, but at this point, not gonna hold my breath too much.

    I am hoping to see:

    1. Can the OL pass protect and blitz protect?
    2. Can our defense stop the Giants and get off the field.
    3. I am looking to see how quickly Geno makes his reads and gets rid of the ball.
    4. I am looking to see where Geno throws the ball. Last year he very rarely would throw the ball between the hashmarks. He felt most comfortable throwing the ball outside the hashmarks. This pre-season he has been predominately throwing the ball between the hashmarks which suggests a better understanding of not only the playbook but defenses. But I woudl expect the Giants to play less vanilla and I want to see if he continues to use the middle of the field.
    5. I want to see all the WRs. I want to see Decker. I want to see Hill show up. I would love to see a few 3rd down passes to Kerley. I want to see the battle between Gates and Salas for a roster spot.
    6. I would love to see a pass rush whether its MoWilk or Coples, Pace or Babin or whomever.
    7. I want to see more of Pryor.
    8. I want to see more of Walls and Lankster and see how Rex protects Allen at CB.
    9. I would love to see our OL not taking illegal motion, holding and personal foul penalties.
    10. Most of all I would love to see Geno convert a couple of these red zone appearances into actual TD passes. He needs a few TD passes to boost the offenses confidence.
    11. No injuries.

There is so much to look forward too when we play the Giants. back in the 70's this used to be arguably our most important game of the year. But back then being a Jet fan or Giant fan was a much bigger statement about oneself, political beliefs and view of the world then merely rooting for a sports team. Like most Jets fans I have mostly forgotten my dislike of the Giants since then. Although I still enjoy beating them. But winning this game is now far down my list of hopes to see from this game.

yeah the same #47 has confused me with Edds and Young as well.

After really looking closely, Edds is playing with every single first unit on special teams. I think he is going to beat out George, unless George really finishes off the preseason strong.

Young, as well as Bohanon, are only playing on a couple of the second unit teams. That disappointed me a little. if we are keeping a FB, i wanted to see some ST deamon qualities. Young in particular i thought could bring that, but i haven't seen it (outside of 1 ST tackle i can recall). Bohanon offers very little on ST, and is a below avg FB.
    maybe we won't keep one?

Do you think we can use Pantale as a H-back instead of Bohanon? It would be nice to have a pure blocking TE given the three we will have making roster aren't known for blocking abilities?

it's an interesting thought considering none of our TE's can block. would provide some versatility for both roles, as well as maybe ST.

only problem is that i haven't seen Pantale in that role yet, and really haven't seen him on ST. if we were considering giving that a shot, we'd be seeing it in the preseason games, where you try stuff like that.

I want to see D Line get a lot of pressure on Eli. I want to see CJ, Ivory and Powell. I want to see Geno make good reads and get rid of the ball quickly. Finally and most glaringly, I want to see the secondary not let the WR's get behind them.

    If seriously...
    1. I want to see D line getting a series or two with no restriction to see the ceiling against crappy O line.

    2. Then I want D line do nothing and let CBs cover as well as they can to see secondary's floor against crappy O.

    3. I want to see deep ball to check out how our WRs match up against decent coverage.

    4. I want to see West Coast to know where our TEs stand.

    5. I want to see for real punt returns. Is Sanders as good as he looks?

    6. I want Marty to stand down for a series to see how far Geno really progressed. Can he read defense on his own, go through progressions, make a reasonable throw under pressure?

    7. Most importantly, I want to see no injuries.

The first one didnt both me the, the second one I still get frustrated about because it was the most flukiest run in NFL history. A 9-7 team (that should have been 8-8 if Ed Hocoli calls the correct play in Arizona WHICH even Mike Pierrara confirmed he called wrong), was able to just get play after play when needed, break after break when needed (Philbins son dying before the Packers game, 49ers Tedd Gin not playing which lead to a rookie turning the ball over which lead to a TD and FG which was the differnece, then of course Welker dropping a routine pass in the Super Bowl). You cant make that shit up with that team, living on the edge would have been an understatement, I remember Romo hitting Dez to put the Cowboys up 12 points with 4 and half minutes left only to choke, then of course the Saints choking to Alex Smith (FUCK you Alex Smith, Saints would have steamrolled the Giants in the dome in the NFC Championship.....)

Geno to get ground up & have an injury that will only be 6 - 8 weeks but basically end our season & his career. This way our history will be somewhat consistent...

I want to see "the best D in the league" show up tonite although I'd settle for the top 5 defense too. I'd like to see something remotely looking like a pass rush. Since we're Dcentric, I want to see the defense carry the team to victory.

Here's one for the books: I WOULD LOVE TO SEE KYLE WILSON TURN HIS HEAD AROUND AND BAT DOWN A FCKN PASS!!!!!!
