Enough with this dude. Go trade for Ertz. And enough with this dude too. He's been nothing short of horrendous as a Jet.
Smith was a cheap Robby copycat but shit, as for Herndon, he has gone backwards at an alarming pace. Cut them both before they drop important passes in real games.
I know its OTAs and I'm over reacting. But I feel Herdon needs to get his ass in gear and show some concentration and intensity or he will be riding the pine or gone. Too many mental errors resulting in crucial drops going back to last year. we need him to be a stud
He changed it about a month ago as someone else already had the number one jersey. ZWannounced it a few hours after I ordered a ZW number one jersey. I am hoping he will go back to 1 once we cut the guy who has the number one jersey now.
Seriously. This guy can't catch the ball and when he does, he fumbles. Fortunately, JD has rebuilt the WR group extraordinarily well so I'm sure he'll be cut. Just think, this guy was actually getting playing time last year or two...
Kroft isn't looking any better. He dropped 3 passes yesterday. Thank goodness, Griffin is looking healthy and pretty good. Haven't heard anything about Yeboah yet. This is why I said that TE should have been a priority in the draft this year, when everyone else was saying, "Nah, Herndon will bounce back." Hopefully, I'm wrong and starting next week, Herndon will rediscover his concerntration/focus and show that he deserves to stay.
give him a chance. he showed great potential as a rookie and he's still cheap and the best TE we have. If he wants another contract though he needs to step up big time and if he doesn't we'll be looking at TEs in the draft next year and it's a pretty good TE draft
we had a lot of needs. TE was at the bottom of the list. plus outside of the top 3 (kittle, waller, kelce) all the other TE groups in the NFL are pretty meh anyway. if herndon doesn't bounce back we draft a TE next year. we have 5 picks in the top 3 rounds so plenty of picks to get a TE and it's a good TE draft in round 2 and 3. griffin bouncing back would be great. he looked great that year filling in for herndon then he got hurt and hasn't looked the same since
Don't worry NC. Next year we'll have two 1st round picks and there's an SEC TE who's already being considered as a 1st round pick as the next Kyle Pitts type of freakish TE (who finished 2nd in All-SEC honors @ TE behind only Kyle Pitts last year). Jalen Wydermyer. 6'5/265 lbs. Texas A & M. This kid is an absolute monster of a freak of nature (46 Receptions vs Pitts 43 Receptions and should record 70+ receptions this year). I already love this kid more than Kyle Pitts because unlike Pitts; Jalen physically manhandles and run blocks like an LG!
True. But don't forget to mention T.J Hockenson of Detroit (kid went 8th overall of the 1st round during 2019's draft). I freaking love this kid @ 6'5/250 lbs and during only his 2nd NFL season last year recorded 67 Receptions for 723 receiving yards and 6 TD receptions with a Pro Bowl selection too.
Not rooting for Sam here... I fully believe we can beat the Panthers and I'll be at the game but you can't just compare a 49ers def to ours game 1
he has high potential for sure but need to see more out of him. herndon had 502 yards and 4 TDs his rookie year starting only 12 games in a worse offense with a much worse QB. lets see how hockensen does with stafford gone if he can still be consistent and good
True and the Panthers offense is not going to be like last years High Octane Gase offense either lol. Should be a fun game where we learn abt our old and new QB.
Why aren't Jets fans giving Marcus Maye the #24 treatment? Dude isn't even showing up in June for OTAs (while leaving his teammates hanging) all because he's not happy with his contract (Franchise Tag). (but yet Mekhi Becton gets crapped on for being forced to sit out OTAs by Saleh). For a supposed ball hawking FREE SAFETY with a whooping 6 career INTs throughout 4 years (2,1,1,2) and damn near 30 years old as a Maccagnan pick; he should be the first one in and the last one out while trying to fight for a roster spot and long term contact. Etc. I guess Jets fans only turn on 1st round All-Pro's when it comes to holding out... I wish J.D could unload his selfish and greedy ass for two 1st round picks + a 3rd. I'd even seattle for a single 1st (unfortunately, he's overrated by this fan base and just not that, good).
because #24 had a history of holding out, maye doesn't. #24 wanted to be paid as top player on defensive side, don't believe Maye is. just a couple of reasons
