Maybe you haven't looked at how desparate some teams are for QB depth.

I hope the KC bashers will be willing to man up if he plays well on Sunday.

if he has no turnovers and looks comfy in the pocket and manages the game and let's the defense and rushing attack do the work it'll be the quickest turnaround performance from a player i've ever seen.

Here's my hangup on Clemens....when he was taking snaps last week....he looked EXACTLY like he did when Seymour destroyed him a few years back.

Last week showed me there's been absolutely NO IMPROVEMENT in that time frame.

The fools that believe that Clemans will miraculously "turn the corner" after a week of practicing w/ the 1st stringers... are about to have their christmas' ruined.

I want the Jets to win more than anything....but this will be on the run game and the defense to complete that task....Clemens just has to make sure he doesn't screw it up

that's the thing. Its hoping and dreaming and maybe and if he does and he might and there is a chance and you can't rule out this may happen and on any given sunday and oh my god please.

its the same shit I from anyone who thinks that if you wear the jersey of your favorite player and you wish hard enough he's going to turn into what you want... but there is a reason a backup is a backup. Tom Brady and Matt Schaub aren't on every team. And for that fact - Erik Ainge sucks.

With all this KC hate, I really hope he plays lights out. It still baffles me how so many can hate on a guy who has barely had any chance to shine. I get the arguments, I don't care about all that to be honest. I support KC regardless of the unneccessary hate he gets on this board.

I always man-up when a player proves me wrong. I supported Clemens to start the season and let Sanchez hold a clipboard for half a season, but during the QB competition, I saw what I needed to see. A shellshocked backup QB with no poise in the pocket, no awareness of the pass rush, and bad accuracy. I've seen Clemens play like he had some skill in 2007, but those skills unraveled quickly. His growth is stunted.

    Prove me wrong, Clemens.

Arguably, his best performance was against the Ravens when he threaded the ball right into McCareins's hands for an easy 6 and he dropped it. He also made al ot of other good throws in that game.

I really don;t think he has been as good since, and definitely, there was a huge fall-off after he was pancaked in the endzone on the second play from scrimmage against the Pats.

Willie - I'm not coming on here to shit on Clemens. I want him to succeed. I have no idea whether he will or not. I hope he does. So if he plays poorly why would I eat crow? I don't think he's Joe Montana nor have I promised that he going to suddenly play like Dan Marino this week. I'm just rooting for my team. Is that okay?

Im rooting for the Jets to win the game. Thats the only thing that matters. Whether Clemens sucks or not is a means to that end. If Clemens sucks and the Jets win GREAT. If Clemens throws 4 TDs for 300+ and the Jets lose then that would SUCK.

And that's the crux right there.....When Clemens played well against Baltimore...he still had the "Eye of the Tiger".....but when he was called to action after Pennington went down and the oline was horrible.....i'm sure his confidence was destroyed with all the sacks/hits he absorbed.

Abyz is right...his growth has been severely "stunted"......I'm curious to see how he does on Sunday.....but after his brief appearance last Thurs, I won't hold my breath.

We're all rooting for the Jets to win. We're all hoping Clemens plays well.

You've been defending Clemens like he's your blood brother all week, yet if he continues to suck as many think he does and will you won't eat crow? You're entitled to your opinion as is everyone else, but if you're going to call people out if there opinion appears wrong after Sunday you had better damn well be willing to eat some crow if your opinion appears wrong after Sunday.

It's pretty gutless to come on here and call everyone out for having a different opinion but refuse to acknowledge you were wrong when you're already calling them out.

That I can agree with. Clemens has never recovered from that. But I am also sure that how he looked last week was heavily the byproduct of 3/4 of a season worth of no reps with the #1's too.

Still, if he just plays smart, sound, football and doesn't get cute we should be fine here.

If you want to make that kind of statement you should be able to back it up. I actually don't give a hoot about Clemens other than he is my QB this week. He didn't play well last week as I've said repeatedly. But dumping on Clemens for things that aren't his fault such as getting sacked by DL that did not get blocked is just baloney. If the OL doesn't block its not the QB's fault for getting sacked it doesn't matter who the QB is, the OL has to block.

For what? I have no problem manning up. But tell me where I promised anybody that Clemens wouldn't suck???

Okay fair nuff. My opinion is that we need to win the fng game and not spend all week shitting on our QB. I don't think Clemens is Roger Staubach. I just hope he plays well enough to win on Sunday. If he plays well enough and the Jets win that would be a good thing. Is it okay that I have that opinion on a Jets message board?

Dude, tell me how I called everybody out. If you want to shit on KC all week long thats your perogative. Go for it. Is it okay with you if in response to a weeklong Clemens shitstorm, I simply pointed out that the shitstorm posse might want to man up if KC has a good game on Sunday? Whats wrong with bringing that up?

If you want to sit there rooting all week for Clemens to suck on Sunday just so I can post that I agree that he sucked, thats up to you. You might just want to root for KC to do a good job and help roll the bucs. Cuz thats all Im rooting for.

I can see it now "Hey Kellen, I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse. Your ass is gone come January, so like, we want to give you a shot at showing off those really big eyes and how fast your run with a load of crap in your whities"

As long as he has a better QB rating.

Oh, BTW, QB ratings does not take in to account the fumbles, sacks, and the 'tripover yourself' plays.
