Even if he did change-hes not that talented-He was never a first round pick even if he had the reputation of Leinart. He has a shaky arm and is not nearly the athlete that his brother is. His brother took his VT team that was not half as talented as the one Marcus was on to the National championship game, and Michael certainly hasnt been the greatest pro ever

This thread should be locked up. Vick shouldn't even be talked about, he is a problem waiting to happen.

    :eek:fftopic:

Omar Jacobs was taken by the Steelers.

We shouldn't even consider Vick. He's a headache. He can change, true, but it's risky.

We drafted our QB in round 2 we have a back up in Ramsey why would we waste a pick on any other QB?

I say that we might as well take him and try him out during Training Camp. Most of the players selected in the 6th or 7th won't make the team anyway so why not take a chance and if he doesn't work out.. we cut him

Sorry, but all the stats say most 6th/7th rounders make their original teams roster for opening day.

If their was one player in the ENTIRE NFL draft that doesn't fit the "prototypical" Tangini player...it would have to be Marcus Vick.

Michael Smith mentioned Marcus Vick on his speech on Around The Horn. I think that a team should take a chance on him based on the hype around him. I mean, I can't stand him, but it's still entertaining to see this kid screw up; as messed up as it sounds.

Will he be picked up by anyone? I hope so.

No way. Not even for the league minimum, if he promised to play both sides of the ball, and return kicks as well.

Did anyone see the interview during the draft? When he was asked how he compares himself to Maurice Clarrett? I almost spit my drink on that one! Priceless.

There was a time I was looking forward to this guy playing. Not anymore. I just want to know he has his life together. Maybe Football isn't the direction he should go in. I don't think he loves the game like that, because why would you continue to screw up something that you love. I believe he sees football as a means of making some big money...That's it....
This is why parents have to make sure their children have a well-rounded education. Put other things in their lives besides sports. He needs to keep his ass in school or go to another school. He doesn't need a scholarship. His brother makes enough to pay for it. He needs to focus on that and put football off for awhile. Put Football secondary or third, but right now his priority should be trying to get his life straight.
This guy as much as I would have liked to him see him play and do well, he is not mentally mature to handle the load, and you know he may never be able to.

We would have tons to lose IMO...we would lose cohesiveness as a team...Vick has all the bad qualities that this FO is trying to stay away from...No point in "taking a chance" on this guy...when would he actually get playing time??? What is he going to try and fight out the # 4 spot with Bolly??? That would just be plain stupid...

We don't need another JAbe on our team!!!!

I'm sorry but Vick isn't worth causing trouble for our team ala TO, JAbe, J Walker...Sorry, he will always be in the shadow of his brother...
