Nothing better than 5th rounder unless they take some dead salary off the Jets. This guy has missed a lot of games & he's not on a rookie contract & he doesn't even have much longer on this existing contract.

McFadden burned the Jets really bad & showed us just how badly this D can struggle to set the edge. However, he hasn't been doing this 12+ games a season throughout his career. Not because he lacks talent ... but because he's got injury issues. Put away the performance against the Jets and look at his entire career. No more fragile RB unless they've got high upside AND rookie contracts.

Holmes and a 5th should do it.

McFadden and Greene 1-2 punch would be fun.

No. Fuck no. If you're going to spend a 1st rounder on a RB get a fresh, young guy not a bandaid with who knows how much left in the tank.

DMC has plenty left in the tank. His struggles are systematic without question.

The only thing holding him back is his inability to stay on the field. His talent is definitely worth a 1st rounder, but you can't guarantee the return in value. Which is why I say no.

Before someone tells me there is an injury risk with every player in the league, I'm aware, I'd rather take my chances on a guy without a history of injury.

I don't know - I think McFadden is a Top 3 back, talent wise. I would trade a 2nd for him straight up, right now.

  7. I get what you're saying but the guy is special. In the crazy chance the Jets were faced w/ acquiring him, they should not hesitate. You really COULD ground & pound between he,Greene & Mcknight.

If Mr. T could somehow throw in a games played clause, done, let's do it. I realize he's an absolute beast, but he needs to be on the field.

Too bad Crazy Al is dead, we could gave 'em our fastest WR straight up.

LOL of course! I'll never forget Raiderjoe pumping his tires when he was on Raiders practice squad. What a twist of fate that he's now here.

I agree, but I doubt the Jets would make this acquisition mid-season while the offense is finally starting to play up to potential.

anything less than a 1st round pick I would trade for him in a heartbeat. He is a HUGE upgrade to our rb corps

Meh, injuries are often circumstantial. Just because somebody got injured in the past doesn't mean they will again. They are very often fluke plays gone wrong. Players who have had injury troubles in the past cost us less, and that's a good thing. Laron Landry's a perfect example. We paid peanuts for him and he's been a stud for us so far. I'd definitely throw a 2nd rounder or Greene plus 3rd or 4th for McFadden. The upside is huge.

    Yes. Trade Tebow for DMC.

Palmer is "toast." Mr. Clean in "badboy" OAK. Interesting.

Jets in love with Sanchez. Could use an explosive runner who can get to the edge.

    Tebow reunited with Dennis Allen.

Oh....and the Tebow led Raiders playing Denver twice each season, is a nice storyline too.

    A classic win-win-win right?

Jets win because they need a home run hitter. OAK wins because they are morally depraved & Tebow will help w/that. And Denver wins because Teebs "sucks" so they will surely whip OAK twice each year, right!?

McFadden is probably the 2nd best rb prospect ive seen since AD, talent wise he ranks only behind him in the league. I think he can be elite behind a better o-line and a focus on him in the running game. Still has plenty of work left in that tank at only 25, although he is injury prone.

There is no way we can trade for McFadden. He has a 7 million dollar cap hit this year and an 8 million dollar cap hit next year. Also he has been struggling in the power blocking scheme this year, he was great in the zone blocking scheme they have been running. We run a power blocking scheme.
