I'm not saying that Williams can't play DT, I'm just saying that he is a freak of nature who could be one of the most dominant defensive ends in football. Limiting him to the inside negates his outstanding speed.

Who's limiting him to the inside???????????

THAT right there, my friend, is the beauty of the whole thing - He's not limited AT ALL.. In turn, the defense isn't limited AT ALL....

It makes your defense unpredicatable when you have a guy like this that is so versitile.

If Williams is on the board at 4 and they dont take him then the Jets are in big trouble.

What I'm saying is that if the Jets played him as the Pats play Seymour his great speed would be negated by having to lineup between the tackles. When a guy has a blend of speed and strength like Williams there's no point cutting half of that equation out.

    I feel you.

And since we have no OLB's on the team(Hoping that Thomas can convert) what are the chances of Mangini coming from the Patsand being an Defensive guy Drafting Mario 4th, Lawson/Howard 29th?????? That would put us on the way to being an great defensive team with Mario, Ellis up front, Lawson and Vilma behind them.................... I would bet my car that front seven would be in the top three in the league. So how about that???? Have Kassell and barton fight for starter inside. Have Hobson and Chatman for Depth if Thomas works out, If not let Chatman start.
Everything breaks right for the Jets maybe they complete the D and the Oline with their first three picks.
    4-DE Mario
    29-OLB Lawson/OLBHoward/OLBCarpenter
    35-RT Winston/RTMcNeil
    Pipe Dream
    71-RB White:breakdance:
