Paying for ten games all up front is the hard part, not necessarily the cost per ticket for one game. Most people don't have $1,600-$1,800 laying around at any given time.
well, i mean i dont agree with that. If you are a season ticket holder, its like paying for air conditioning, you prepare to foot the bill every april. so its not like the money is laying around, its an expected cost.. just like gas, heat, and electricity
Yes, knowing it's coming helps, but it's still a lot to come up with at one time. I like when we're at least in the playoff hunt and can put $400 or so down for the "possible" playoff games. Because we never actually host the playoff games and the money gets credited for the following season.
that is true, also, i split my tickets, i buy 1 ticket, and my cousin buys the other, so my bill was only 852..
I know, isn't that refreshing? It's such an expected comfort to say, "Yay! The Jets are losers and it will take the edge off when I get my bill next year." Alright, maybe not quite in that way...
1) So You basically want great seats... 2) For half the Price... 3) and because your scared of a price that May happen years from now. Absolutely pathetic reasons especially #3....
royal tee, you are so against ppl talking about psl's.. if they actually happen what are you going to do? i mean i dont care, i now own season tickets, and am willing to pay the psl, but how come u refuse to even think about it?
Dude, my wife did the same. She gonna get payback for Mother's Day! When the PSLs come due I don't think I'll be able to swing it. Family of four on one income. Season ticket holder since Shea days (I can't remember the year). It's also the principle of PSLs that I don't agree with. I can get my Jet ticket fix on StubHub, scalp, etc. It's entertainment for me, not a financial investment, ala the Green Bay Packers. I'm optimistic about this year - but aren't we all this time of year
Do you work for the jets ticket office?? People have plenty of reason to be worried there could be a psl. Just take a look around most new stadiums have them. Its not something there going to talk about until the last possible moment
A friend and I have been buying 2 seats each from a season ticket holder for years. This year, we scaled it back to one each, but I'm still very much looking forward to the season (though we're already trying to sell the preseason games...). Meanwhile, I'm in the 1200s, I think, on the waiting list. I really want tickets in my own name, and will continue to go to games as long as I can afford it. Go Jets!
I agree with Royal on this issue. It's the fact that people keep going on and on about it. Why keep talking about it? It gets annoying. It's impossible not to think about it because it is constantly discussed here but until it happens (if it happens) why worry about it... Royal is an optimistic guy, just ask his wife she'll tell you.
Not necessarily losers--good enough to sell playoff tickets but not good enough to host playoff games. The one year we did host one it was awesome, and the money for the second playoff home game that never happened still rolled over to the next year.
