"F" the players. Now its the fans fault. You get paid to play the game. I felt like an idiot for going. What a waste of a day. They suck

I'm ashamed to be a season ticket holder.

Has nothing to do with the fact that I sold my Browns tickets.

Same here. I have four for the Kansas City game, face value is $70 each. Plus the parking pass that's $295 total I've laid out. Any of you want to buy them via Pay Pal, this is the time to put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise none of you have the right to say shit to me or anyone else. Because even if I don't go I've supported the team with my money if not my presence while you have supported them with nothing but your ignorance, negativity and finger pointing.

I'll probably go just because I like to go, unless one of you wants to buy them, have at it. Let's see.

I don't exactly agree with you.

The fact that you've purchased tickets with your own money does not afford you freedom from criticism. At least not any more than my right as one who doesn't have season tickets to bitch and complain about those who do.

As for supporting them with your money, if not your presense, while the rest of us support them with nothing but ignorance, negativity, and finger pointing, you're off-base.

The fact is, by watching on tv, we provide revenue to the team via advertising dollars funnelled through the league to the team. Beyond that, anyone who purchases items branded with the Jets logo are also putting money into the team. Season ticket holders do not constitute the entire payroll of the NY Jets.

I've backed off my initial arguments from early this year, since quite frankly, the Jets don't deserve any better treatment from their fans at this point. Personally, I don't know if I would have attended last Sunday, or two weeks from now, if I had tickets. However, that doesn't mean people no longer have a right to express themselves, nor does it invalidate any previously made observations and commentary on such.

I haven't gone to a Jets game this year. This is the first year I haven't gone to any in 4 years. I've been given free tickets every other year this past 4, so I went. This year I didn't get any, and since I'm not a season ticket holder, I refuse to purchase seats through other means. It doesn't make me any more or less of a fan than yourself.

I understand the frustrations at this point about this particular subject. It's become a dead-horse, really. There's been a lot of buildup this year though. Shit happens.

hey griffdog, when someone spits in your face like the jets have to all of us all season, do you stick up for them? no you stick it to them by not showing up (not selling the tickets to other team's fans cuz that is gay). Embarrass them like they embarrassed us all season and, sadly, throughout most of history. I mean it hurts to wear jets gear and take all the crap and not be able to back it up cuz the organization gives us no legs to stand on. screw them. and if you really need the ticket money then at least get them into the hands of a jet fan. and just so you know, up until this season (the browns game, actually) i havent missed a game in 4 years. i bet you dont even make an effort to show up. i have froze my ass off too many times for these assholes who dont give a damn. ill still watch on tv cuz im still addicted but until some sign of hope comes i wont be there.

So you choose not to purchase tickets and choose not to go to the games, that's fine. But then you don't have shit to say if I'm late, don't make noise on 3rd down, or get under the cover where the cameras can't see me in a freezing rain. You've chosen not to be there at all. I've offered my tickets at the same price I paid, so if you want you can make the commitment to one game that I make for ten every year. Not just you, Alio, anyone on here who feels it is their place to tell the paying fans what to do when we get there.

The fact is I waited ten years for my tickets, I lay out my money every year and attend every game I can make. Because I like to. But then I come on here and read what a disgrace I am after I just changed out of my freezing wet clothes. So fuck that. Once again, here's a chance for one of you bigshots to step up to the plate and attend a game yourselves.

I stand to make no profit from this offer, either, just my point.

I think you're misunderstanding me at this point.

I formerly had a problem with things like people cheering Chad's injury, or the crowd sitting on their hands when we were still early in the season.

This weekend, I see no problem with guys staying home.

As I've said before, my biggest problem with things like people sitting on their asses is because I've been told numerous times at Jets games to sit down and shut up. So season ticket holders pull the same shit. It's all a matter of perspective.

I'm not dogging you guys now though. I think you're actually right to stay home at this point, and let's be honest, there was no reason to cheer on Sunday if you were there.

As far as me not buying tickets, I want season tickets, or I'll wait out my freebies. I'm not buying tickets from guys, even at face value. That's a personal choice, just as is the attitude of ticket holders. Both of us have just as much right to say something about the other, and we both do.

All's fair, except being a Jets fan...

We all have a right to do and say as we please, but don't expect the people who go to the games to grant any credibility to criticisms from those who don't bother. The simple and accurate response is always going to be "go to the games then and do a better job".

    agreed on all points....

the team/org owes the fans performance, not the other way around........particularly here in the tri state area, this isn't Green Bay or KC or those cities which have 1 or 2 pro teams so the fans are starving for any entertainment , even bad entertainment

this org pockets my cash each year, if they don't put a winning product on the field I almost feel it's my obligation not to go....not that it impacts their botoom line negatively If I choose that path....

Alio, gmme a break with the "watching on tv supports ad dollars" crap........that's an extreme reach...........unless of course I can go get the Nielsen rating for this past game and see what a dismal rating it was......then can I critique the couch potatoes?

whatever, it is a dead horse, but I've offered tix on this site a few times to ensure Jets fans get the tixx, and for the most part 1 of the massive 2 responses I received was from a current season tik holder looking for a few extras...I didn't hear a peep from all the season tik bashers out there.............and I offered them at less than face with a parking pass too

And as I've said. I have. Many times. And I've heard enough "sit down and shut up" calls to know it's not just one or two people who say it.

Besides, at various points in these rantings, people who do attend games have actually chimed in with agreement that the crowd has been bad this year, and they are wholly ignored as though they never posted a word.

Let's be honest. People just don't want to be called out. Pointing a finger back at people who weren't there is just an excuse to deflect.

No it's not, it's called considering the source. If you make no effort yourself you have no business criticizing others. I'm not going to sit here and vouch for all 78,000 season ticket holders, I'm sure some of them are real pricks. That's really not the point of this discussion. The point is people who do nothing to support the franchise calling out those who do.

I think we're really discussing two different points. No matter anyway. The fact is, at this point, the Jets deserve as little support as they get. When they start showing up to win games, then maybe it's worth discussing. Until then, as I said, I agree with season ticket holders not giving a crap at this point.

The last two home games I have given away my ticket, not sold but gave away. This Sunday I chose to stay home & play the Wii with my kids instead of making the 2 hour trip to freeze my ass off & be bored to death. Instead I was only bored to death watching the game in my living room, at least I was warm though.. I have the right to be bored to death wherever I please.

To the OP, thanks for creating another season tix holder sucks threads. The first 50 didn't quite get their point across..

You put a shitty product on the field and this is what you get.

Though, I still went to the game but left right after the KC int in the 4th quarter to finish a paper.
