Hey guys, I'm going to Europe for a few weeks. I trust you will get the club ready for the season. Zack can take his time and really get well. Joe will be fine. If the defense makes a stand or two it will be a good season. Maybe not the Super Bowl but plenty of fun. By the way, usually I discount coaches but Coach Saleh is a good leader.
Wow. What a roller-coaster of a post!! Absolutely agree with the 1st paragraph!!! Very very curious of the facts that you have on your side. I am honestly looking forward to hearing back on those facts. Also agree with the last paragraph, but I think the answer to paragraph 2 will determine whether the idiom comes off as wise or ironic. Can’t wait
Neither his age (which is 23) nor the number of games he has played changes the fact that he is not a franchise quarterback.
The comically small sample size in the hardest position in all of sports means you should laugh off anyone proclaiming ZW a bust or a future HOFer. If it’ll help you sleep better at night, this team is build carry the QB, not the other way around.
Your problem is not understanding what you read. I have never said anything of the sort that Zach Wilson was Ryan Leaf, I also haven't said he's Peyton Manning or anyone else. There is no need to compare him to anyone who has come before him; his record stands on its own. What he is today is Zach Wilson, unsuccessful NFL quarterback. If that's going to change, it's going to change on a football field not because someone declares him competent on a message board. "Franchise quarterback" is laughable.
Miserable? Not at all, I'm contentedly in touch with the actual reality of the New York Jets, not that I like it. What you may consider Wilson having a great camp, I see as the guy going to work every day, until now, and doing what is expected. Nothing more, nothing less, but I pay attention to all reports, not just the rosy ones; you should try that rather than your constant shooting of messengers, it may help you stay on a more even keel. Wilson being "done for the season" is a conclusion you may have jumped to along with some who were ready to jump off a bridge Friday night, it was never mine because I have always taken a wait-and-see attitude until something more reliable that a Tweet from a nobody comes up. Is it really too hard to only rely on or react to supported information? There was no gloating at all on my part about Wilson's injury but there may have been a bit about the overwrought reactions of the green colored glasses group here.
It's not a freak injury at all, non-contact injuries are not uncommon at all. The argument between the safety of grass fields and different varieties of artificial fields has been going on for decades, largely due to injuries such as this. I don't believe I'm the only one watching the game who knew as it happened his cutback instead of going out of bounds was the wrong move and would have been a wrong move at almost any time in any regular season game. It was very bad judgement. Wilson needs to get on the field only when he is recovered to the degree that his medical experts declare safe, not in reaction to chattering from message boards that he is taking too long to recover.
Hopefully Zach's surgery goes great tomorrow and he can begin his rehab soon. Not sure what time we will hear any news, but it will be nice to hear something definitive.
Zach gotta learn to pick his spots. There's no reason to play hero-ball in the pre-season... none whatsoever.
Call a spade a spade. You are a disgruntled Jets fan that has a season or two left to see them win. I'm sorry time is not on your side.
Karma is not on your side with such comments. If I gave a shit what you think, I might even be offended. But I wish you a life at least as long as mine will be.
