    Patriots Work out Testaverde
Moles at Logan Airport just called to let us in on the news that Vinny Testaverde was in Foxboro today working out for the Patriots.

This means the Pats have now worked out Testaverde and Tommy Maddox in the past two weeks. One wonders what the great urgency is at the quarterback position. The Pats seemed comfortable with Tom Brady and Matt Cassel as their two-man team coming out of training camp.

Maybe the distress Brady showed Sunday night has the team concerned. Perhaps they feel the presence of another veteran could help to give Brady a sounding board.

When you think about it, Brady is in many ways the elder statesman on that offense. He predates every player on that side of the ball except wide receiver Troy Brown and left tackle Matt Light and he's also working under the NFL's youngest offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, 29.

An awful lot has been put on the plate of the Patriots quarterback from running the offense to being an on-field and in-practice coach to a fairly raw set of offensive players.

Belichicken is probably just "picking" their brains about the Cowboys and the Steelers like he did to that Bills player (sorry, don't remember the name) but do remember the Bills filed a complaint about it.

Personally I would hate to see this, Why would Vinny go to the pats when he and everybody knows its over. Why play for the enemy?

I actually agree with this. Vinnie is a better fit and would probably be better now than he used to be because of our improved O-line.

I just remember some of those INTs he used to throw, though. I swear, watching it live from the stands, there were times when he made it look like he was on the take... that's how accurately he'd deliver the damned ball to the CB... right on the numbers.

Something's got to be seriously wrong in Babychick Land for His Highness to even be considering Vinnie at this point.

No way Vinny gets to start in the NFL again. Just creating that competative atmosphere. Vinny makes terrible decisions and throws behind everybody. Calling Doug Flutie outta retirement would be a better choice for them LOL.

Guys, guys. Vinny exactly isn't in playing forum...... In a way. He hasn't been able to prepare himself for a season for awhile now. Don't act like he was prepared for anything in 2005. He jumped off his couch and into his cleets.

I really expect to see him in Tampa Bay this season. They probably still shudder when they think of how Vinny and the Jets beat them last year!

I would PAY Belli to sign Vinny and start him!

You Vinny fans are out of your minds. He was NEVER better than medicore. He is an interception machine.

He starts for NE, and I guarantee we win the division.

Imagine the names of the starting QBs in the AFCE.

    Testaverde
    Culpepper
    Losman
    Pennington

Holy shit, make it happen BB!!!

Working out as a COACH or player? This guy is probably older than Bellichump.

I don't root for injuries but I won't shed a tear if Brady has shoulder problems..

If he signed with NE it'd be the 6th team he's been on in his NFL Carrer.

If he signs with NE, or if NE signs any veteran to come in, then something could be wrong with Bradys arm, which is a + for the Jets :)

Leave Vinny alone, he's just padding his retirement (like all the politicians do in NJ) and is probably pissed that Smith is wearing his number so soon...oh well

:rofl:Classic!!! As much as I've always like Vinny I don't care if he signs with them. The best news of all is that Brady might really be injured.

Some people just don't know when to quit. And testaverde is the kind of player that woujld play for any team that shows any interest at all.
