holmes is a selfish guy. i think we all knew this when he was brought here. i'm sure the fo knew it when they gave him his extension. he's always going to be about himself.

i am one of the few? that believe winning builds chemistry and not the other way around.

he was driven out of pitt for being an idiot and the timing just coincided with ben being an idiot. one of them had to go and it was obviously going to be santonio.

but i have never heard of holmes being a bad teammate until this season. if he didn't like the team, he wouldn't have re-signed. it's just the losing that's getting to him and he lashes out like a child.

Sure winning games changes everything. But, when you are a team leader you are supposed to set the standards. Now you see Keller doing the first down pointing gesture that Holmes does.

What if other younger players start thinking it's okay to mope around and call out the defense or the offense. Holmes is a bad egg and has no place on a professional team.

he should have never been put into that leadership role. rex made a huge mistake by putting that c on his jersey. he's never going to be a leader. i don't know why rex expected that to change this season.

he never seemed to have a problem with his teammates until this year. the fact that he's rubbed off on keller is a bit troubling but it also shows that there's no friction there. the flight boys thing showed that 2 selfish pricks like braylon and santonio got along fine while winning. i remember hearing reports that holmes re-signed for less money because he was a big fan of sanchez.

holmes is immature and probably not accustomed to losing. i just can't get behind trading away our best receiver when we don't really have a second best receiver.

Holmes was huge for the Jets last year. But, even before the meltdown in Miami he was very lackadaisical with dropped passes and idiotic behavior.

Look at a guy like LT. You think he's a little disappointed not going to the Superbowl last year or this year. He is a leader, he is out there giving 100% till the last second ticks off the clock.

Holmes is a gifted athlete but, if he causes so much friction on the team and his lack of focus gets the whole team pissing and moaning in the huddle of all places, then what really is the point to having a joker like that on your team.

Trade or cut him. Holmes needs to go, the Steelers had their heads in the right place.
