You literally say nothing in this post. The thing is, you don't know football. You don't have a clue. "You cannot win in the NFL with two QBs. Or a mediocre QB and a Punt Protector in this case" What the hell does that mean? What are you basing it on other than your opinion? Being cute? Is this what the Jets call their Tebow plays, the Cute Plays? You get this from your opinion about the offense. You have no ability to analyze an offensive play or critique any specific, technical aspect of anything they are doing. You watch PTI and read Monday Morning Quarterback and catch every pregame show on Sunday morning and all the highlights afterwards and that's why you think you know football. But you don't know football. Those shows dumb it down for guys like you who want to be able to "talk football" with their buddies. Talking football is what position coaches and coordinators and players all over North America are doing between the end of their previous game and the start of their next one. And it has nothing to do with the terminology you're using.
haha, ok, but I'm not sure how you can make such sweeping generalizations off of one bad week from Brady. Brady has been one of best quarterbacks in the history of the league. He has record breaking seasons and MVPs. Sanchez has shown glimpses of serious potential but has a long way to go to be anywhere near as consistent as Brady has been.
I am not backpedaling at all: You cannot succeed in the NFL playing two QBs behind the center. You and a bunch of other folks on here are still "pretending" that its not happening. Its like, you believe the disguise or horse-shit you're being spoon-fed. Someone brought up Brad Smith. He wasn't the back-up QB. What a circus side show! Are you serious? If anything, I tried not to laugh at the Jets with Tebow as the Punt Protector. Really? What a joke. I don't understand why I have to point out the obvious!
In Sanchez's defense (not that he really needs it), he had a shit 2nd half - and half of that can be blamed on WR/TE's dropping balls or running wrong routes. But he is far from blameless. They had the ball for 4 possessions in the first half. 1 possession was a wash since they decided to run the clock out. So 2 out of 3 had scores. Not bad, but the defense can take a lot of blame as well. I swear this Def is the worst in 3rd down conversions (especially those over 5+ yds).
The Jets got beat down. And Sanchez was the starting QB. And on top of it, the Jets had Tebow on Special Teams and behind Center for a couple of plays. Come on, dude! Take off the Jet Rose-colored glasses for a minute: You KNOW I am giving it to you straight. I watched the whole game. The problem with the Jets with this current roster is they will look great against hapless teams like the Bills or Cleveland or Jacksonville. Maybe even Miami. But against real teams, with a balanced, disciplined defense and offense that can put up points: they are gonna get beat down. Until they sort out reality from fiction. Right now, they got two QBs and a bunch of players around them that are trying to deal with it. Its gonna be all hunky-dory as long as they're WINNING. Yesterday, they got beat down.
that cumberland play made me furious ... but lets not pretend that keller hasnt been hit in the back of the helmet on a hot read a time or 12 in his career why the hell is the entire teams awareness on hot reads so suspect??
Hmmm your join date is May 2012...Tebow traded to Jets March 2012...You can't stop talking about Tebow...Possible relation? GTFO with your pee wee league knowledge of football.
You aren't giving anything to me straight. You say you know football and yet I haven't seen anything from you that shows evidence of that. I look at your post history and I don't find anything there either. I do see that your last post before this morning was in early August, which likely means you were just sitting there waiting for the Jets' first loss so you could come to TGG with your QB Controversy schmuck routine, and from all signs, you didn't really plan it out too well, because you suck at it. There will probably be plenty of games this year where you can start up that QB controversy nonsense and it will work, but son, you shot your load too quickly because this game wasn't it.
Well. One thing surprised me yesterday. I thought Sanchez would throw a pick six towards the end of the 3rd Quarter and in the 4th Quarter. I am just telling it like it is because the defense was pinning its ears back. Sanchez should have had a garbage TD at the end of the fourth quarter that was dropped, and Holmes dropped some catchable balls. There were drops for sure by WRs. But none of that is gonna matter with the side-show of Tim Tebow. That's reality. Acting like its not the case is the fiction part I was talking about. Jets have two QBs that are playing: Its not gonna work.
I was comparing yesterday...one game. Yesterday, Brady looked like garbage when dealing with pressure...you can also look at two Super Bowls against the Giants to see how he handled pressure in those games also.
Frankly, I thought he handled the blitz OK. Cumberland turns around and that's a 10 yard gain and the drive is kept alive and maybe they punch it in. Holmes dropped 3-4 balls and left 50-75 yards on the field with his gaffes.
Is it wrong that I'm really starting to despise Holmes? That stupid first down move at the most inappropriate times is infuriating...
You should be a politician. I've never seen someone have the ability to write so much without saying anything. Can't win with two QBs? Thats fine we have 1 QB and a player who helps run the ball and run a package. Its not like we've ever had that before. Whats the difference between Tebow and what Brad Smith used to do? Should we cut Greg McElroy because there is no way we can possibly win with a third QB on the roster.
i take it on Sunday I'm watching actual football and you are watching Skip Bayless vs Stephen A Smith re-runs from June?
some people, whether in life or football, refuse to take reality into account when formulating their opinions and thoughts. they see what they want to see.
I actually took a little perverse pleasure in seeing the Steelers' players mocking his First Down Ball Drop idiocy a number of times during that game. Not so much in the first downs themselves, but he is such a turd that he deserved to be shamed, espacially after such a pussy performance.
ok great, but I have been referring to Sanchez's career as a whole. We are talking apples and oranges. I'm interested in what Sanchez has to do to get better, day in and day out. I'm interested in what Sanchez has to do to elevate his play on a consistent basis, and become the quarterback he has the physical potential to become.
