Spiking the ball on first down definitely hurt the teams momentum the final drive.

I don't know if its been brought up, but Sanchez's passer rating for this game was 45.3 a week after our 45-3 loss. Eerie.

    OMG... That's a riot

That's funny because Rick Mirer also had an issue with eating hotdogs on the sideline during a game.

    No problem

It was just a thought okay. I'm not slamming Sanchez.
I also don't know enough of the coaching structure of the Jets.
One thing I'd want to know is. Does Sanchez have a dedicated QB coach?
Take this coment for what it's worth but... You don't want Rex Ryan coaching up the QB. And he should have never said he thought of benching Sanchez.
It seems like when you put Rex Ryan in a roon full of cameras and reporters, he talks way too much. Like he's one of the guys and not the head coach?

I want to show Sanchez patience....but seeing high-drafted QBs like Matty Ice and Sam Bradford find their groove in their 1st year of the league....is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I mean, the Rams have a chance at winning their division....they were the worst team in the league last year for christs' sakes.

I want to see Sanchez progress.....not make the same dumb mistakes he made in his first year. C'mon kid....fucking up the fundamentals like footwork and making bad reads is for rookies.

They are also in arguable the worst division in NFL history

The other QB's in that division?

    Seahawks - Hasselbeck/Whitehurst
    Cardinals - Anderson/Hall/Skelton
    49ers - Smith/Smith

Doesn't take much to be better than those guys.

..and for Matt Ryan, he plays in a dome and did have some struggles last year.

All true. But you have to admit, Bradford looks like the real fucking deal. I think the Rams hit a homerun there, assuming his arm doesn't fall off in the offseason

Bradford is playing well....with garbage receivers, a young oline and a banged up S.Jackson.

I could care less who the Rams play in their division....because the Jets are scraping by with a supposed high-octane offense against teams like Detroit and Houston (who's pass D is terrible).

Imagine if Sanchez and Bradford switched places.......and then you'll understand my point.

Bradford looks great, but what does that have to do with Sanchez?

You aren't required to have the #1 QB in the league in order to win a Superbowl, you have to have a Superbowl team, which includes a good QB.

Sanchez can be a very good QB, so I don't care if Matt Ryan or Sam Bradford are better...it's not QB vs QB in this league. (A point heavily emphasized during Patriots week)

Also, those guys were both Top 3 picks for a reason.

Bradford and Sanchez are both top 5 picks and considered "Franchise Quarterbacks" by their respective franchises.

I want to see relatively the same return on investment that other teams are getting from their recently drafted first round QBs.

I don't want Sanchez to turn out like Alex Smith.....I want him to turn out like Aaron Rodgers.....

Sanchez has already made it farther in one season than Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, and Alex Smith have in their careers.

I'm just saying that it'd be stupid to complain if when it's all said and done Sanchez is the 4th best QB in the league while Bradford is the 2nd. (just an example)

They'll both be elite and good enough to win it all.

Nothing. Obviously this conversation is getting derailed. MB said something about Bradford looking good, and you said it's because he is compared to garbage in his division. I think he looks good because he looks good.

I didn't try to argue any of this. Like I said, the conversation moved off topic to the OP.

Just for the record, I'm not really disagreeing with what either of you are saying and it is getting slightly off topic, just giving my input.

I love what Sanchez brings to the table and he was actually my favorite QB out of his draft class. He showed intense poise in the playoffs when he had a pretty bad rookie season with interceptions and he's gotten better with protecting the ball, but the kid is still young and will only get better with every start. Like I said, what he has shown with poise and hanging in there is something every Jets fan should be excited about.

I like Sanchez as well, but he needs a New OC that knows when he is having a bad game, and to Run the Ball once in a Blue Moon behind this so-called great line to minimize the kids mistakes. Also, anyone notice how when he rolls out of the pocket, he gains time and seems to make better decisions? Rex's comments about benching him are stupid, what do you want when you are forcing him to pass over 35 times?

    Hogwash.

The Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers and they traded for Brett Favre early in his career. Neither played in cold weather regions in their college careers.

The Broncos traded for John Elway. He was a warm weather QB in college.

Warm weather Fran Tarkenton had a lot of success playing outdoors for the Vikings and Giants.
