Actually I do believe Sanchez has been lucky with the dropped interceptions (and for once I'm not being sarcastic ), but I don't see that as a bad thing. Luck is something you can't control but it certainly is part of the game. Remember that one against Miami that it was a clear pick six? that was luck and I'm glad that we have a QB that not only is young, talented and clutch, but that he's also lucky. In the end, what matters is the result, and Mark has been delivering the results. Besides, winning after a lucky break ==>
As (I think) Napoleon once said about his Generals - better to be lucky than be good. I'll take a lucky QB any day of the week
Who cares. We are getting Peyton anyway. I've e-mailed this article to Rex and I expect him to tell Mark to hand-off the ball on every snap he sees next season
Get it through your head, Sanchez WILL be the next Brad Smith, guaranteed. So unless your taking about the seminole , your wrong.
Didn't someone post this same shit during the season? Figures another hack from ESPN decides to write about it after the season is over by 2 months...
This is the 3rd or 4th time this has been posted on various sites, it's nothing but nonsense. Are they going to remove the 2 BS INTs vs. GB? are they going to give him mroe TD passes b/c Santonio dropped 2 sure ones that cost us games? heck, why not give us 2 more wins b/c of it. EVERY QB has potential INTs dropped, this is asinine information(this isn't directed at you murrell but at the piece itself).
I wasnt posting it because I agreed with it. I posted it for its absurdity and because there hasn't been muxh else to talk about.
I was hoping this wasn't going to get posted. I will say some INTs were dropped but in no way can you calculate this as a stat. Everything that goes into a INT, there is reason they are dropped. There is also a reason why Peyton is right there. Certain throwing styles and pure out balls prevent QBs from getting picked off. Why don't they write about dropped passes too, those fuckers.
Why is everyone getting so defensive? If this is a fact, then there may room for improvement in Sanchez' game. It seems to me, in the 2 seasons he's played, he has struggled to find the open receiver. When Brady plays, it seems he always hits receivers that are wide open. I don't know if that's Sanchez' fault, or his receivers' fault or bad play-calling or what it is. So if he's still not calling the plays next year, this could be the reason. Maybe the CS just wants Mark to focus on finding the open man until it becomes easy for him. Also, he has better stats in playoff games - it's a fact. Also, he plays well in the 2 minute drive at the end of a half. Maybe he thrives under pressure. He also has intangibles that some other QBs don't. For example, he doesn't seem to get flustered by getting hit - like Giselle's wife does. The bottom line is, football analysis is not simple. And as fans, it's even more difficult, b/c we often don't know why a play or a game went poorly. We don't know what was supposed to happen.
So what the fuck is a "dropped interception" ? Is that like an "almost 1st down" ? Last I knew you had to actually catch the ball and posession has to change for it to be an interception. Sanchez goes to the AFCCG in each of the first 2 years of his career....and may well go again the third......yea, he sucks. Trade his ass.
I hate all this hate on mark. Everyone is like, Joe Flacco is amazing and is going to be amazing blah blah blah...last thing i remember is Joe Flacco sucking the dick of the day in the playoffs with more int's than td's. Mark was not a game manager this year and the playoffs...he was an asset that led us to big wins. If we get both WR back next year he will be really good and hopefully all the doubters will shut up.
Stats lie. Ask Yankee fans about A-Rod. Except Sanchez is the opposite, all the guy does is win and play great in big games and in the 4th quarter. The media will continue to shove negative stats down our throats, just watch the guy play, that's all I have to say
We should give Tom Brady and the Pats the victory in Super Bowl XL because Asante Samuel almost picked off Eli Manning.
