I appreciate that the different indexes all have certain shortcomings and anomalies. But the inclusion of fumbles lost in QBR as compared to conventional Qb ratings is appropriate, and is one of the reasons Sanchez does relatlively more poorly under it. As he should. The rest of your post is off the point. I have not been following Moore of late other than noting the fish have been winning some games.
I dont get it, just because other guys are having mediocre seasons, Sanchez is a good qb? Those guys potentially not being very good in no way means that the Jets do or do not have a qb for the future.
^^^^^^^^^^^ This Regardless of whose fault it is (Shotty, O-line, Sanchez himself), he's not having a good year. How does the fact that these other QB's are playing bad help Sanchez or the Jets?
Umm no. You pretty much attack anyone that doesnt have blind loyalty for the Jets. And to stay on topic, Rex already said it was an empty gesture in his press conference.
If you can write a post that doesn't look like it spilled out of a diseased vagina maybe I'll treat it with respect.
Case and point. And believe me I'm not looking for respect from some random guy on the internet. Keep up with the insults though.
So you and people with similar opinions on the subject are upset because Sanchez is not the kind of QB that regardless of the team around them can somehow elevate and cover up their teamates shortcomings? And you would like everything else to stay the same and just replace Sanchez and hope that the replacement turns out to be "that guy?" Sorry to tell you but QBs like that only come along once in a very great while, and I dont think even one of them would be able to succeed in this enviroment. To directly answer your question and to relate it to my tangent i just went off on, I believe people are making the comparisons to those other Qbs because they are not criticized the same as Sanchez, even though they have somewhat stable teams around them. My opinion is that any QB you put back there is going to struggle, its a team game and these have been team losses.
Sort of like the way Brett Favre, who had a HOF career with Greenbay, a HOF season with Minnesota, did?
If the post you're criticizing was as you surmise intended to help the Jets win games, then it has failed miserably and you're right to ridicule it. If it was meant to help Jets fans put Sanchez' struggles in perspective, then I guess you're proving that it's failed at that too.
Cant believe I didnt think of that but yes, Brett Favre is the ultimate example to back up my point, thank you.
Not really a good example. Favre blew his shoulder out with the Jets. The Favre in his prime with the Packers was not the same as the Favre who played in Minny.
Yea, you could make the argument that he had his 2nd best season of his career with the Vikings, so you are right about that, he got better some how. And Farve didnt blow out his shoulder untill mid season or later as far as i rememeber and wasnt that impressive before hand either, certainly not favre like at least.
Come to think of it, why does Sanchez need to be motivated in the first place? He can't motivate himself?
Pathetic move by RR, telling everybody about it as well. The guy think the whole thing is a joke, which is the difference between him and bellifuck.
Rex has to develop his poker face a little more. Telling everyone his intention ( albeit in the face of endless stupid, repetitious questions from know-nothing media) destroyed the effectiveness of the act
You'd think he'd have 50million reason along with being only halfway thru his rookie contract would provide some incentive. When you've been given the job and annointed "franchise saviour", taking things for granted at his age is a virtual certainty.
