Ok. So in 7 qtrs of live action, we have ..4 ints, a safety, and a fumble near the goal line that turned into 7. Get real
Considering Geno being a rookie, it was anything but mediocre. And no, Sanchez wouldn't have a better game than Geno's by default - just because Geno had what you call a 'mediocre' performance doesn't warrant Sanchez having a better game than that. Most likely, it would've been far, far worse than 'mediocre'. I have no idea why I'm debating this with the #1 Sanchez lover of all time... but wth
Today was how you call plays for a rookie qb. Part of the reason the run game and line looked bad was because the game plan was very vanilla make one at most two reads then run setup I the shotgun. Make it simple for the took hope your defense can win it. Who knows how mark would have performed bu they would have used more of the playbook with Mark. Geno looked good for a rookie long way to go.
And if Sanchez played like Geno today you wouldn't have shut up about it. I can tolerate rookie mistakes from a rookie not from a 5th year vet like Sanchez.
... And without the production Geno provided himself, we rushed 23 times today for 43 yards. Why don't you list ALL the games Sanchez has won for us the past two years without an effective running game. Go ahead Hobbes ... Just put them in a nice big pile. No reason to think Sanchez wouldn't have brought this one home, right?
Not talking about the play calling. I'm not a sanchez hater. I been on here counting for months about how bad I thought geno was. He just seemed much more relaxed and in control than sanchez ever has. I know geno will have putrid games. Calmness tom him, sanchez has never demonstrated. I fel right now, allot of my complaints about smith were wrong
Excuse me?? Sanchez's first game stats: Comp: 18 Att: 31 Pct: 58% Yards: 272 TD: 1 Int: 1 Rushing: 6 yards Geno's first game stats: Comp: 24 Att: 38 Pct: 63% Yards: 256 TD: 1 Int: 1 Rushing: 47 yards They look mighty similar to me, with Geno's being slightly better. Also let it be known that Mark had a DOMINANT run game to achieve those stats, while Geno had to carry the team on his back to get us a victory.
Looking ahead to Thursday night, which 2009 game of Sanchez is the appropriate one to compare? Do we use the week two game in the Meadowlands or the November game in New England?
Hobbes is not a Jet fan he's finally proven it Geno played well not okay??????? Well mean in a good or satisfactory manner you're sounding dumb as hell trying to shit on him 1st by using his preseason numbers 2nd by saying he was gifted the win 3rd by not acknowledging any good he did like his poise, patience and perseverance dude got hit, hit, hit and hit and keep fighting
Im sorry I gave you the benefit of the doubt in the other thread. If Sanchez played this game, he wouldbe been sacked about 9 times today. Probably would have fumbled about 2-3 times on those sacks. And because of those sacks, he probably would have been shaken up and down, resulting in another pick or two. Geno won that game for us. Dont let your pathetic brain tell you otherwise. Be happy for once that we got some positive play at the QB position. He won this game without a run game and pass protection. What more can you ask for? He didnt mope around either, he was cool the entire game. Please just stop with the Sanchez bullshit. He isnt going to play another down as a Jet unless Geno gets injured. Just stop man.
Geno Smith completed 63% of his passes today. Mark Sanchez has completed 63% or more of his passes in only 11 of his 61 regular season starts. Mark Sanchez Sucks.
