Really? They didn't exactly put any tough questions to him. The real test is right after he tosses three interceptions to Tampa. Let's see how he handles that.
There is no reason for Gino to be there. Sanchez has spent the last 2 months using the media to take passive aggressive shots at Geno. Proclaiming that he will be the starter,he will win any fair competition and that it is his team. Geno has not said a word and has been only respectful. Why would he want to go to Sanchez's camp and have Sanchez attempt to upstage him, embarrass him or treat him poorly?
For me its about the playbook. To have any legit shot at competing these guys are gonna need to know the offense inside and out because the margin for error with either QB will be nil. I want them both working with the backs and receivers as much as possible to put forth a decent season and not get RR fired who I think is legit. Whether its Geno or Sanchez I dont give a squirt I believe their production will be similar.
What are you smoking, son? Spread the wealth. Seriously, what is Sanchez supposed to say? He is in no-win situation whatever he says - or even if he declines comment. Anything short of confidence-showing rant, he will be seen as 'insecure,' and confidence-lacking. If he avoids the media, it will only get worse. So what would YOU say in his place? That you are ready to curl up in fetal position and give the job to Geno? Is that what you want Sanchez to say?
If he cannot say something mature and respectful he should say nothing. This theme he has been on the last month implying that QB competition might not be fair is juvenile. He has a number of times questioned the fairness of the competition saying he will win as long as he gets a fair shot. Implying the competition is rigged. Just an indirect gutless attempt to take a shot at the coaching staff and make an excuse if he loses. If he thinks things are unfair he should say it. Secondly after the way he has played the last 4 years, single handidly destroying the team he might want to be a bit more humble and should not go around saying he will win the job or say there is no way he can lose the job. Much better to show respect to the other QBs and simply say I will do my best and the best QB will win, But that is not the Sanchez way. When he plays terrible he rarely takes any responsibility. His typical response is not I played bad but we that we need to catch more passes or block better or tackle better. It is always someone elses fault.
he says i need to play better, we need to play better but he says the same exact bullshit every single week as if he doesnt really give a shit. but he also mopes around like a 13 year old with daddy issues.
sanchez always has been accountable. he takes the blame says he needs to play better, than doesn't. I think you are reading too much into his quotes, I haven't heard anything out of line from him yet
I'm sorry what? I'd like to see one interview where he doesn't take blame and puts it on others. If that's his "typical response" it should be easy to post a video. Go ahead now.
Link to all these pics? Haha. Thats great... The problem has never been what he's said. Its always been about whats done on the field.
I know its close to his house, but I cant believe he flies into that hell hole..... When I lived out there catching a flight into that place at an opportune time was near impossible.
