My mistake, that comment was supposed to be toward Bradway NOT you. he hurled a childish insult and I gave it back to him. do you consider mark Sanchez and Peyton manning equals? if so we can evaluate them on a level playing field but I think peyton is just slightly better and deserves more scrutiny. Peyton is the best player on his team(supposed to be), Mark is not. It was Peyton's fault the game was even close enough for 1 fluke play to send it to OT. Peyton's coach had so much faith in him he took a knee at the end of regulation then Peyton had not one but TWO possessions in OT needing a FG to win it. Not only did he fail he set up the GW FG for Bal w/ a horrendous INT. mark has never thrown one like that in a playoff game.
That is a joke to make a point. obviously peyton is much better and should be judged by the standards of the all time greats, if I judged mark on those standards my arguments would be very different.
To say Peyton was the only reason the game was close isnt accurate. The Denver defense gave up two bombs to Torrey Smith for touchdowns. Prior to the final int, Peyton had 3 TD's and 1 pick, which he made up for on the final TD pass to Thomas.
Sanchez to: Braylon 6 Holmes 7 Keller 2 Cotch 2 LT 1 shocking that his 2 best playmakers would have the most highlights.
If peyton doesn't throw an INT for a TD are the ravens w/in a TD at the end? if he doesn't fumble leading to another TD would they have been w/in a TD late? peyton kept the game close. he wasn't the only goat, the D gets their share but the main culprit was Peyton just as it was in Indy all those years.
Im not going to break the game down by single turnovers, but then not have the ability to do the same with games from Brady or any of the other greats. You seem to scrutinize the faults of guys you dont like, but then give a pass for the guys you like. They've all screwed up. Sanchez screws up more than he does anything well. Manning passed for three TD's against the team that eventually won the SB. It's a passing league now. Turnovers happen.
Yeah but any other QB in the NFL would've made the entire team better and EXCEEDED those results when the team got worse! hmy: /tinfoilhat
Clearly he was shell shocked after the 70 yarder to tie. I hear that can happen to teams. Or do highly improbable scores by opposing offenses only effect Sanchez?
I don't dislike Peyton, I've never met him but I have hear great things about him. I judge Brady and manning fairly and equally. TOs for TDs can't happen, 3 TOs leading to 17 pts can't happen nit from an all time great at home. That could have been the case, Baltimore seized momentum but they didn't take the lead and peyton had 2 chances to win it- when did mark have 2 possessions needing a FG to win that game?
:lol: Peyton was the main culprit when the D allowed an 80 yard bomb with 30 seconds left but Sanchez is only to be blamed 50% for the Titans loss when he led his team to 10 points and turned the ball over FIVE TIMES!! It's A Bird... It's A Plane..... Just for some more laughs junc please tell me the percentage Sanchez is to be blamed for the Broncos and Dolphins losses in 2011?
I realize reading is a problem for many of you but we don't evaluate sanchez and manning the same way. last I checked Sanchez is not going to the Hall of fame, more is expected out of Peyton Manning than mark Sanchez. Someday you will learn enough about this game to discuss it intelligently w/ others.
If Manning wins another Super Bowl, then what? Football is a crazy sport where parity rules. Its a single game elimination playoff. Ask the Patriots how hard it is now- with the amount of stellar QB's, who all pretty much make the playoffs, its fairly random who gets hot at the right time. If John Kasay doesnt kick the ball out of bounds- how do we see Brady's career? Would it change it? Guys who clearly are the best player on their team and have their team in the playoffs every season...that's what should be weighted most imo.
Then he gets closer and it becomes a debate again. Knowing that to be true isn't it amazing what Brady was able to do 3 of his first 4 years? Kasay did kick it OOB, Brady took advantage. vs. Pitt in the '05 div rd Manning was given multiple gifts and couldn't take advantage.
Of course it was amazing. It was also rare. Brady's come down to earth in the playoffs since the Eagles Super Bowl. If Brady's career was reversed and the SB's came at the end and not the beginning, you'd probably hold Manning in a higher light. I just dont think you're giving Peyton enough credit. What he does is unbelievable year in and year out. Especially last year coming off of a neck. Montana lost playoff games too. No one's perfect.
guys, he will consistently do exactly what he has been doing, you know, we know what mark sanchez is. he knows too but he will never admit it EVER. so please please stop entertaining his bullshit and dont bite when he says some other blatant bullshit.
Brady has come down to Earth and STILL made 2 more Super Bowls and 4 more AFC Championship Games. 2005-2012 post dynasty Brady made 2 SBs and 4 title games Peyton's entire career he has made 2 SBs and 3 title games I never said anyone had to be perfect, Montana had some clunkers in the playoffs but this man also never threw a SB INT in 4 SBs and won 2 of them without Jerry Rice to throw to. There are just too many clunkers for Peyton. Postseason: Montana: 16-7 record, 4 SBs, 4 SB wins, 7 conf title games, one and done 4 times, one and done w/ a bye and home game ONE time, 2 home losses Brady: 17-7 record, 5 SBs, 3 SB wins, 7 title games, one and done 2 times, one and done w/ a bye and home game ONE time, 3 home losses Manning: 9-11 record, 2 SBs, 1 SB win, 3 title games, one and done EIGHT times, one and done w/ a bye and home game FOUR times, FIVE home losses see any differences?
