Still trying to defend the buttfumble I see. :rofl2: Nice to know that Sanchez hasn't lost his ability to throw picks to DTs on screens.
we get too much info from these minicamps and practices, most fans don't need to know this stuff b/c they don't understand what is actually going on. To bash a player over practice stats is beyond asinine.
Sanchez. LMAO. Picked off twice with one by a NT on a screen pass. Hilarious. :breakdance: You just gotta laugh. Bottom line to all his defenders is that the organization does not want him playing another meaningful snap for this team again and it's a better then even chance he isn't even on the opening day roster.
I know....Most fans don't know that they are probably working on the punting game. Seriously, I don't put a lot of stock in practice stats, but when you know a player has a weakness doing certain things, it isn't exactly encouraging to see them repeat them in practice. There is still a lot of time for improvement, but I'm not holding my breath.
If he has great practices I'm not going to go crazy either, when we start playing gams and if he shows improvement I'll be happy. I hate the constant practice tweets about #s.
Why because the news is making Sanchez look bad? If Sanchez was torching the defense and led 2 TD drives you'd probably wouldn't say "we get too much info from these minicamps"
Get a grip. The defense is always well ahead of the offfense, even in early training camp. Add to that. New system on O.Regular WRs out. 2 new guards, Ducasse playing RT. How would you expect the offense to look?
I don't look at OTA numbers either but it's hard to believe you'd not find some positive out of Sanchez playing well in OTA's regardless of the situation. I take this with a grain of salt.
No. You dont get to go there. You are part of the start Geno crowd. Therefore, according to you, geno > Sanchez...so its fair to expect him to play like it, no?
Which part? We have no returning guards, the Ducasse thing was tweeted, Hill and Holmes are not on the field?
I don't put any stock in practice reports. If I was there close up and knew the playbook and what the QBs ended to do then I could evaluate. I being to judge in preseason games and even in preseason it's tough. Until week 1 it's hard to tell other than if a player is in better shape, moving better and throwing better.
Somebody better go tell the new guy- Mornhinweg emphasized that if Smith or Sanchez clearly owns the day through OTAs, the Jets are prepared to name their starter before training camp. "Oh, absolutely," Mornhinweg said. "Sure. Absolutely."
Judging by your feelings on Sanchez, you apparently have trouble evaluating QBs after 4 years, and 68 games. So it's not a surprise to me that you have trouble evaluating QBs off of offseason practices or preseason games...
Talk to people in the game, people that know the game. Not whiny fans that can't think for themselves, the ones that have to rely on media trying to incite controversy, them ones "evaluating" based on stats w/o context. You know- folks like you.
We really need to take one day of padless practice with a gigantic grain of salt. Maybe if he's doing NOTHING right over the span of every spring event THEN we can get concerned. One day isn't a good judge on his 2013 ability, lets be real.
It wouldn't matter if I talked to people who are in the game or "know" the game or not... if they concluded that Sanchez is a bad QB (which he is), you would conclude they don't know the game... Plenty of smarter folks than me or you have used their eyes to describe your golden boy as terrible... and that's being kind in some cases. You should drop the "context" line, because what you really mean is excuses.
