yards and points are 2 different things, we haven't had a true top 10 D since 2010.

Good lord, I'm using 'my' in a figurative sense. The Jets aren't my team in a literal sense. If you are REALLY going to get after me for my vernacular, then there's little reason to continue talking with you.

We win the Houston game with another QB.

We win the Seattle game with another QB.

We win the Dolphins game with another QB.

Word! If Sancho hadn't of softened up Arizona week 13, we wouldn't have even won that game.

You average guy are forgetting he had two games where he scored more than one touchdown. He's carrying this team on his back. Sure...he had five games where he didn't score a touchdown, but in one of those he didn't throw an interception. That's something.

Think about it...Sanchez scored a td in 2/3rds of the games he played.

Sometimes it's hard to be so enlightened...

    Damn straight.

Our defense has padded their stats thanks to Sanchez. I'd look up the stats, but we all know that's nothing without context.

Look at them...looking all tired and shit from being on the field too much. They should be grateful for the camera time.

That's actually the one that bugs me the most ... And perfectly sums up who Sanchez is as a QB.

We just got humiliated by the Pats on national TV. A game where we turned it over so many times, it looked like the football was allergic to our hands ... A game which gave us the buttfumble ... A game which made us the punchline of the league.

Going into that AZ game any normal person, and any reliable QB would have ONE major thought in their head ...HOLD ONTO THE GODDAMN FOOTBALL this week!! And on the very first play THIS is what he does. You can't make it up. Unbelievable.

That INT tells you all you need to know about Mark Sanchez.

He's proven he can do it with that talent level. He's going to have to do more with less to stay on the team after this year. That's why I'm worried. We need him to play better than he ever has after coming off his worst year in the NFL. Tough place for him.

He fell into awful habits in 2011 that carried over. I don't think lack of talent is the primary reason he fell into those habits. Some of them are not talent related just him not being consistent problems.

If he's on the roster, he should get a fair shot to play for the starting job. But if he gets the job, he gets a very short leash. Don't have the resources or time to wait for him to slowly work his way back.

    That's called making a statement.

Obviously the average fan wasn't convinced.
The Tenn. game two weeks later did the trick.

Posters like me? I have never posted stats without context behind them. There you go generalizing everyone who disagrees with you, cmon now.

Ive never once said it was all on him. Ive said countless times that the organization fucked him up, but that doesnt discount the fact that he is indeed fucked up. I, unlike you, am trying to make an opinion objectively. You clearly know that he was screwed up last year and even the prior year, yet you are letting some kind of subjective feelings get in the way of fact.

it sucks for him, and the Jets, that Mark Sanchez was not managed well. But just because its unfortunate, it doesnt erase his regression. Its time to start over. If he miraculously turns into a franchise QB, Id be for him. You seem to not realize that posters here dont actually have a personally hatred towards him. We are just sick of mediocre to poor QB play. Its time to quite settling for average, because thats all Sanchez has proven to be in his better seasons- an average QB who can occasionally make a big play. Thats not even factoring in his last two seasons.

Come on Junc, my favorite past time during a Jets game is to predict whether Mark fumbles, throws an INT or has a 3 and out. It's fun because a TD RARELY HAPPENS.

The eye test is what Mark fails most ie... watch him play. His body language that he projects his sad sackness on to the rest of the team when the chips are down.

No, name calling doesn't prove a point, but the eye test does. Try it.

I firmly believe that this QB competition is going to be the best thing to ever happen to Mark Sanchez. I think it will give him the push he needs to take his game to the next level. He's going to step up it. If he wins the competition we're in good shape. If he loses it, we're in good shape because Geno Smith or Garrard would have kicked it up an even higher notch.

This is exciting; but I already sense the excuses coming from the Rex haters if Sanchez wins. "But Rex iz just blindly loyaal and luvs Sanchez!!!! He duzent care about winning!!!" Sanchez haters I can understand at this point, but Rex haters are the worst.

Fuck man! That shit is just as accurate as your assessment of the asshole Sanchez!

Personally I like Rex, despise Sanchez and think Rex's misguided loyalty to Sanchez has dragged him down. What I'm hoping is that our new GM is smart enough to take the decision out of Rex's hands and cut Sanchez June 1st. What he does that day will be a huge indication of how competent Idzik actually is. I'm very excited about the potential for the Jets D this year if everyone stays healthy and cautiously optimistic that between our OL draft picks and newly acquired RB's the Jets will have a semblance of a running attack. The only thing that could torpedo the season before it starts is a lot of big injuries or Sanchez at QB.

    are we at 26 days?

maybe we will get rid of everyone else since the offense was no good and the defense was overrated and we will let sancho do it all himself.i think this just may be the master move! (i must be stupid with that exclamation point and all)...

its really funny to see you post and post and post. and post and post and post about the same drivel over and over and over again.

someone asked what you do for work, i am confident that you are a call center rep. your company doesnt monitor your internet and you post and post and post while listening to someone drone on about why their soloflex isnt working like it did in 1994.

and why do you only seem to post in this thread? that was another valid question, if there is so much knowledge for you to spread why do you only spread it in this thread?

is it possibly because you always go looking for the hottest topic and choose the unpopular stance so that you can argue with people ad nauseum?

yes yes it is 26 days till no mo sancho

If JUnc is on your ignore list, why do you keep posting at him?

And, maybe if you werent a moron, you would have figured out that June 1st is a designation, not an actual date.

But hey keep making xs with your little red marker.

Aren't we discussing the pick and you comparing it to a good punt? He had TWO wide open check downs. I never mentioned Hill being wide open. I am talking about you defending his pick by comparing it to a good punt.

Instead of doing that, you should have just said, it was a terrible decision that cost us points since he had a guy wide open that easily gets us the first down and a lot more. You refuse to do that.

Even in this very post, you go on to talk about how unlikely it is to convert a 3rd and 8 when we are discussing a play on 2nd and 8. On our first scoring drive we converted a 3rd and 7 with a 26 yard pass to Kerley. We converted another 3rd and 8 because of a defensive hold. Just 2 plays before that horrible pick, we converted a 3rd and 10? We converted a 3rd and 6, and a 3rd and 7 on our scoring drive in the 4th quarter. Too bad Sanchez just didn't chuck it up on 2nd down to pin NE deep. Converting those 3rd down and scoring really cost us the game. Bad Sanchez!

You say his TO didn't hurt us even when you know that he had a wide open check down! You go on to make more excuses and talk about missing a long FG and the D giving up points even though none of that was likely to happen. If you want people to take you seriously, then cut that crap out and just say hey, it was a horrible decision. There is nothing else to say.
