i cant wait for the winston justice crap to start being said, but you know winston justice was actually the worse player on USC's offensive line last year...we just drafted an OT who would have been the #1 (or at the lowest #2) pick in most other drafts

I agree with you. I am not excited about D'Brick. I would have liked to trade down. But you can't force people to trade down with you. But Kudos to the FO for sticking to their guns and taking the BPA.

Why dont u draw up a warm bath and bring a nice sharp razor with ya. Bush would have cost us way to much. Dont get me wrong i would have loved to have had him, but the siants wanted more than we were willing to give. I would have been happier if we could have landed Davis but Im not upset about the pick. Good Job FO

nice statement from the "#1 Jets Fan" Time to change ur name buddy

I agree with you, ferguson is not going to work in this system because we have no offense, what are you going to protect????? our QB system sucks, Martin is no God, he can't carry the team on bad and old legs not even mentioning that ferguson is not a good run blocker, we suck, we really suck and Chad is not going to be ready again, if he plays and struggle then everyone will say that he should have rested more again, Ramsey is nobody, the guy lost his job at washington and he was arguing about it when he should have stayed put and work his way harder to get his job back, if you believe that you belong to this league you work hard and wait for your oportunity not argue about it, Bollinger, well we will see the same thing as the last year, Martin??? he is no God and he is getting older, yes he was the league leading rusher in 2004 but with Ramsey or Bolly throwing, no O-line that can run the ball, we will not run the ball, Martin will even try hard to get to 700 yards in a season and do believe me passing game opens up running game, it spreads the field, we could have addresed O-line later, bad pick.

His arm strength is a big concern and there is also now some concern he may be too Hollywood.

The arm strength argument is not a good argument since Chad doesnt have a strong arm either. The whole Hollywood thing, unless they think Leinart will be way too immature to QB in NY, then i dont agree. This isnt a bust pick they still filled a need w/ Ferguson, and i think he will be great. i am just very surprised that they guy who would have been the #1 pick a year ago and who had a better season this year, is still out there.

I think their arm strength is very similar. I also think Pennington is a more accurate passer. Therefore- Pennington > Leinart.

    Thank you!!!

    The facts are that exactly.
Yes we need an O-Line. But using the 4th is a mistake.

The only way to correct this is to still get those positions addressed with the rest of the draft.

yes and our main focus this season should be running the ball, I would have agreed with the pick if we had a monster passing game, but we have average to good not excelent or probowlers as receivers, tight end situation average and going below, QB no healthy arm in chad, not a disciplined player in Ramsey he is stubborn and mediocre, not good and now he have to learn a new system in his third year, a system that will be new to everyone in the team, so chemistry will be in the trash can, and I am not going to talk about Bolly or Kingsbury.

ok I am much calmer than i was earlier. D'brick is the safest pick and i think he will be an outstanding OT. if they can get croyle or the guy from Oregon Clemmens/clements in the 3rd rd as our next QB, then i will be very happy.
i agreed with the Jets last year getting Nugent in the 2nd round, so i am not a fan who is angry no matterwho they pick, but thinking this thru, TEN, NYJ, OAK, and DET all passed on Leinart, then maybe it was the right move.

I don't dislike the D'brick pick at all but you have to be kidding.

    Pennington = done.

Jets = team without a quarterback.

Barring a move up to draft Cutler, the jets will leave this draft without a qb, Clemens is junk.

I just hope we go Lawson at 29, becasue if we take another o-linemen before the third round I am going to burst.

It's one thing to defend D'brick, quite another to attack Leinart to this degree, only time will tell if the Jets made a mistake.

It's defenitely the smart pick, if not the sexy pick. Tough to pass on a guy like Leinart though.

Yeah, well, now Pennington may not be able to even throw a golf ball. But I was talking about Pennington when he was healthy.

    Yikes,

I was hoping Cutler will slide to 29 and we could have grabbed him then, ah well, we can still pick Mangold to continue fixing our O line.

Ferguson will help the team. this FO has shown some savvy thus far, give them a chance and check out rest of draft.
