If only the season ended after week 3. Yes, they are the SOJ. Ryan needs to realize that the curse of this franchise is much bigger than him.
You just have to look at what the Pats did to a Titans team we just squeaked past to put our team into perspective - we just really ain't all that good. Ho hum - roll on 2010.
I think the Titans have lost the will to compete. They still thought they could be a playoff team when they came here.
Or at least have a realistic shot at it. That would be an occasional playoff game or dare I say it, a AFCC game every decade or so. At this stage, this team is definetly heading towards the abyss. After 40 years, I think I know the SOJ's when they show up.
YES - losing games you should win...Miami with a QB making his second start lights us up like a Christmas tree, buffalo playing like garbage - 300yards rushing, starting QB knocked out, 6INTs 16 penalties and lose in OT = SOJ
Listening to Boomer and Carton this morning Carton said it best....."No matter what Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum would have you believe, this really is the same old Jets. It's just in their DNA". Wow. Couldn;t have said it any better.
Good Lord!!!! We have a rookie QB, look how terrible Eli played for years in that Stadium. Even their magical SB season Eli had a 5 pick game, 3 returned for TD's. With "Sanchize" throwing 5 picks the only thing that kept us in this was our defense. The Bills only TD should've never have happened, Lito picked that ball off and was called for a bogus penalty. Definitely not the SOJ... If you think this team is cursed and destined never to win again why to you bother rooting for them? Did you see what the Saints offense did to the Giants? Did you see what they did to us? Once our QB and defense play well together we can compete with anyone. I think Houston was our most dominating performance of the year, every phase was played well. I'm not giving up on them, and if you are, go jump on the Saints bandwagon.
What are you talking about? The fact that we defeated a team that just defeated another team 59-0 proves nothing?
being one of the resident darksiders many would expect me to hop on this wagon to support the SOJ theory.... but i am pretty numb after withnessing losses like this since 1978 that everyone tries to explain but when it gets down to it, no one knows WTF happened on the field. the 1 bright spot is that we have a POTENTIAL franchise QB - something we have witnessed only one other time in team history. In 2-3 years we should start to reap the benefits. jil
HackettStillSux = Same Old Jets Fans. I don't even remember you making your pathetic threads during the first 3 weeks. Piss off.
+1 Pathetic. what a horrible game against a team the Jets should have DESTROYED!!!! They should have beaten the Dolphins too....yes definitely SOJ!!!v
94 voters out of a fan base of hundreds of thousands. It's easy to be negative when they lose, and it's apparent to me that most in this "darksider" group have never been part of a losing team. Do you think the players are happy and content about this?? No, obviously the fans aren't going to be either. Maybe try cheering them on when something bad happens instead of booing our ROOKIE QB, and screaming SOJ at Rex. It's sickening and embarrassing, I had to get up and scream at fellow Jet fans yesterday during their drunken Jet hating. "Do you think that helps"?? Everyone shut up.
The poll was not available to the entire Jets Fanbase. It was available to TGG voters, so your point isn't fair. That's just it. With the rare exception of the Kotite era, were the Jets ever a "losing team"? No, there were a team that got your hopes up, year after year, only to collapse at the point where you were just starting to believe in them. Not sure who was arguing this point with you. That's a great idea! Let's cheer and let the team think that we are pleased with their efforts! By that logic, Joe Walton would still be the head coach, nevermind Herman Edwards. How does mindless cheering help?
